No more searches for a tree or post!
I purchased this kickstand for my Specialized Crosstrail which I use for bike packing. I had grown tired of always needing to search out a tree or a post against which to lean the fully loaded bike. A conventional one leg kickstand was out of the question since the associated lean to the side would insure that the loaded bike would fall over. This kickstand was the perfect solution as the double leg feature allows the bike to stay in a vertical orientation. Moreover, the independently adjustable legs (accomplished by pushing in a release button and sliding the leg in or out) accommodate uneven ground. The aluminum kickstand is well made and quite sturdy. It was easy to install without modification and does not interfere with operation of the Crosstrail when in the "up position." Several of my bike packing friends have expressed an interest in this stand due to its features and competitive pricing. Well done, Lumintrail. Five Stars!UPDATED REVIEW- I wanted to continue to like it, I really did. As one can see from the above review, I was impressed with the stand out of the box and on the bike. Unfortunately, the stand did not meet my expectations in practical use. I just returned from a 4 day bikepacking trip on the C&O Canal where wet and muddy conditions were encountered. Upon departure, the stand was as tight as I dared make it, however, during the course of the trip, the stand became loose, twisted and hung lower and lower. It appears that some type of compression washer disintegrated as the stand was repeated engaged. This could probably be fixed, however, the adjustable legs are no longer adjustable as they appear to be frozen in their sleeves. Moreover, unless the loaded bike was perfectly balanced, the stand was not stable enough to keep the bike from several ugly falls. Perhaps I expected more of the stand than it could deliver. If it is your intent to use the stand on an unloaded bike and in reasonably dry and clean conditions, then you will probably be happy with it. In my case, real life application has shown some shortcomings and I am searching for a better solution. THREE STARS AT BEST

Ideal Kickstand
I prefer this style of kickstand to the ones that lean out to the side. This style certainly will make sure your bike never tips over by mistake. Overall, the install is some-what easy. If you keep the back tire on, it can be a little bit harder tightening it down, but it should only take you less than 5 minutes. I like that it's adjustable to almost any tire size. I've bought one for almost every bike I own. Once I start replacing my other kickstands, I'll be going with this one.

Piece of crap
First of all it needs to be like 3 in wider on each side because it's totally unstable in the bike just tipped over all the time at the slightest provocation secondly it doesn't close nearly far enough so it practically drags on the ground if you extend the feet far enough to do their job and thirdly it opens way too far so that the feet don't sit flat on the ground like they're designed they sit at this crazy angle and then on top of that it doesn't stay tight no matter what you do it keeps coming loose I mean not like once in awhile but like literally every few minutes you know he used it once and he go to kick it back and it's loose and the thing up in the top that that you put the bolt through to hold it in place swivels around so it rubs against your will and the kickstand swivels to the side one way or the other so you end up with it rubbing against your back tire and when you try to straighten it it just Jiggles around so yeah I go get an allen wrench and tighten it down again and it just literally doesn't stay tight it's useless if I didn't know better I'd say it was made by a dyslexic drunk monkey with only two fingers who deliberately sabotaged it. Don't buy this piece of junk you'd be better off duct tape in a freaking stick to the side of your bike for a kickstand

Quality product. Needed DIY install.
Works well. Sturdy and stable. Without my modifications, the stand dragged on the ground and was generally a bit wiggly. This is because the mating surface of the top bracket is curved, but my bike has a flat mating surface. No matter how hard I torqued the mounting bolt the whole assembly would rock forward and back, causing the stand to drag when riding. I slipped a stainless bolt laterally in front underneath the bike bracket and put two screws on either side of the top bracket as shims (I just laid them there) and now it's solid. After the DIY I was able to adjust the legs to a much shorter position, which also keeps them off the ground. Custom aluminum shims would be better, but I had to use parts on hand. The set screw is 6mm hex. I recommend putting locktite on the threads and torquing it down as hard as possible. I used a long hex key with a bit of pipe over it as an extension. It's a quality, robust mounting bolt, so I am not worried about snapping it.

Just what i was looking for but...
I was tired of having bicycle lean over and fall from top heavy weight when stopped out and about. Also at home takes up more space leaning on factory kickstand and when trying to oil, repair, adjust it was a hassle. This kickstand solved the problem by holding bike straight up, no falling over, taking up less space at home and easy to lube, adjust, repair, however one of the adjustable legs was lost on 3rd ride. Didnt notice till i got home it was no longer there. It had been because i used it to hold bike up at starbucks. $30 for something that lasted 2.5 bike rides well not good. Didnt install it immefiately because allen bolt is big and had to buy a kit at hf to install it. Dudnt realize i only had a 30 day window to return/replace. Beside that the ends arent rubbery, its a hard plastic but that didnt really matter. In pic you can see adjustable end missing behind rim.
