A Better Glue Pot For Less!
As a leather craftsman, I use a lot of glue, so I want my glue to stay as fresh as possible. This glue pot has two advantages to my needs. First it is $7-$10 less than other look-alikes. Just a few bucks but add in the second advantage and it is a lot! Secondly, the seal that covers the actual glue is not flexible, but is a heavy solid cover, unlike others that have a flexible rubber cover. This will always provide a better seal, if placed properly on the glue pot. I paid less for my glue pot with a better lid that keeps my glue fress longer! Win-Win for me!

Not worth the price
As others have mentioned, there is no seal so the glue dries out quickly which defeats the purpose of the glue pot. Unfortunately by the time you figure that out the return window has closed. It seems sturdy enough but you will have to modify it heavily to make it work. We need a new brush too now because the original is as hard as a rock. That makes it even more expensive.

Lifesaver!!
The functionality of this product is exceptional. It has solved my issues of twisting the lid off my glue when it seals - with this glue pot, simply pull the brush and it’s ready to go.

Glue pot
This product could be better . Weaver needs to make sure that the pot has no air leaks around the pot . Glue dried up in less than 2 weeks because the sides of the square pot is not crimped properly .

Good but…
Works good but had to seek the seam with hot glue so it doesn’t dry out.

Glue dries up!!
Built very stout, However it did not the air out of my Barge cement. The glue hardened and the glue pot is now unless. Does not seal.

A handy addition to any maker's space
I bought this for use with contact cement, and I am very pleased. I am most impressed with the fact that it is essentially self-sealing. Contact cement such as Barge which comes with a screw-on lid often requires pliers to open once the cap seals to the can. However, I purchased a gallon of DAP Weldwood which is essentially a paint can. I intend to purchase a paint can spout to re-fill the glue pot in the future, but I managed to put contact cement in without creating too big a mess. The weighted base prevents spills from tipping, and it has a fairly small footprint. Eventually I will get a second one for my Barge cement.

I’ve used a similar design to this where I can fill the pot up to close to the top of the spout to keep the brush wet and not have to fill the pot as often. It leaks!! Filled it up for the first time and if glue went past the seam where the black top meets the bottom, it leaked glue from all 4 corners. It was a huge mess to clean up. Also when using the brush as soon as the brush is turn upside down the weighted top which creates the seal on the glue pot moves! Very annoying. It means with each brush swipe I have to adjust or compensate for the sliding weight. I’m hoping it’s just an error and not all are like this one. I unfortunately missed the return window as I would have exchanged it for another one that didn’t leak or had a proper brush.

Not bad but it leaks in the top corners so I have to have it completely level and it leaked all over because I thought I could fill it more.

The glue pot I received doesn’t have any silicone to seal the bottom part to the top part. I just found out how it’s supposed to be when I visited one of my local leather store. My glue dries out very quickly! As a remedy I had to use contact cement around the top part to make a seal. I would like to know if I received a faulty item?
