Brilliant for my elderly mum
I bought these for my elderly mum who was finding it difficult to use her phone. It has been amazing and she loves it, the picture memory is easy to set up and now mum no longer has to try and input numbers, she just lifts the receiver and presses the picture to who she wants to call and the phone does the rest. Fantastic phones. Ringing noise is loud so she can hear it and if she needs to use the numbers for any reason they are big enough to see and press.

A great phone for those with Alzheimer's.
A good phone for the the elderly or those with memory issues. The button pictures were easy to replace and program. Solid phone, good volume and big clear buttons. My mother is very happy with the phone.

Very good with a few reservations
We bought this for an elderly relative who has been struggling to use her mobile phone. This has really simplified things for her. It’s really easy to set up, just plug in as normal, and programming the numbers to each button takes about 10 seconds. The quality is okay, not the most solid phone ever, but good enough, although it’s a bit lightweight. It’s not like the old Bakelite phones of old but that will suit many people. The volume on the handset is good, and it’s great that she can pick up the handset, press a button with our names on, and she gets through. There are 9 buttons that can be programmed into the large buttons. Writing the names on the buttons (or putting photos in) is easy and simple, just cut them to size (2cm x 2 cm). They are then covered with a plastic cover. You can take out the names/photos that are not needed, leaving them blank. It’s worth noting that there is no caller display, which is initially confusing for those switching from a mobile to a landline. That hasn’t caused us a problem but if that’s important, there may be other phones available. There’s a few reservations. Firstly, if you disconnect or unplug the phone for any reason for a long period, it loses all the programmed numbers, so you have to redo them; so program them after you’ve plugged it in and located it. But disconnecting while you move the phone etc is okay. Secondly, if the person intends to use the speaker on hands free, we found it wasn’t that loud, and not really clear enough to use. Also, the person has to remove the handset then replace it after the call, which terminates the call. If they just press the speaker button on and then off, it leaves the call live. Despite those reservations this has made a real difference to our relative, so much so that we’ve bought a 2nd one so we can have a phone in the bedroom and lounge. So it’s clearly doing something right and is recommended assuming that it fits your needs.

VERY EASY TO USE!
The Memo24 Big Button and Picture Corded Landline Phone for Elderly and Dementia Sufferers I received is brilliantly simple to use, connected to my existing ‘phone line and working within a few minutes of unpacking from the box, with a brief instruction sheet with clear and succinct ‘how to use’ information. It has a good loud ring and hands-free speaker phone, redial and easy to use speed dial facility (for up to nine telephone numbers you regularly use eg for family and friends). This telephone is particularly appealing as I’m not only a proud member of the senior and significantly large ‘digitally excluded’ community, but because I suffer with autism, and therefore easily ‘panicked’ by complicated technology. A new telephone I recently bought - made by a reputed company and purchased from a very well-known high street retailer - I couldn’t use because it was so complicated to programme - I think it would have been easier to programme a lunar space probe! And I objected because it came with a plug, so I had to have a nearby mains electric wall socket - which there wasn’t. Have you ever heard of anything so bizarre as a telephone you have to plug in to work, like a domestic appliance - I must admit that was a new one on me, and not very environmentally or electricity bill friendly! This superb Memo24 landline telephone has no such nonsenses, you plug into your existing telephone socket and you’re away! In fact it was so good and such good value for money I bought a second one for the future a) in case this one eventually breaks down and b) in case it becomes unavailable in the future because some ‘genius’ replaces it with a telephone you have to plug in to a mains wall socket, programme like a lunar space probe and c!

Big Button Phone
Easy to use , sets up easily with store buttons and works as hoped for , easy to use for the older person I bought it for that struggles to dial numbers when flustered, big speed dial buttons easy to use and see , so would recommend 👍🏼

Great! Very easy to set up. Simple instructions for programming numbers, with a choice of inserting names or face pics. Excellent for the elderly and dementia sufferers.

Handset cable loose, so not always connected.
Much as I wanted to give this a good review, as it did tick all the boxes initially, sadly it didn't work effectively for very long. Basically, the handset cable does not make a good connection with the phone base and clearly this causes all sorts of issues when attempting to speak with elderly relatives. The issue was sporadic at first, and I should have contacted customer services, but in the scheme of things, it was low on my list of urgent things to deal with and we are now out of the twelve month warranty. The issue is now pretty consistent, with probably only 10% of calls working smoothly, and the rest being extremely stressful.
