Q: I seem to have misplaced my ice packs. Are you still not selling spares at all?

I am afraid that I do not have spares. I assume you are trying to buy replacement packs. We use the ones that come with the pack so n o spares.. Perhaps if you contact the seller they may be able to sell you just the ice packs. You may also be able to purchase any ice pack that will fit the box and use those. Hope this helps.

No the top zipper is the same compartment with a mesh pocket in the inside which is only good to hold napkins. Hope that helps. The bag itself is Great quality. Fits all my drinks and protein blender bottle shakes. The only downside to this bag is no extra pockets for other accessories

Q: Do the side compartments keep drinks cold? Or do they need Ice Packs as well?

They probably would. But i use a skinny flexible wrap around ice pack for my milk and yogurt I put in side compartments. They are always ice cold 5 hours later.
