This cable is quite thick and will be a great deterrent when used with a quality lock. It is very flexible and has a reinforced loop on each end. I actually have bolt cutters that can chomp through metal with ease. But I doubt that it could cut through this thick, braided, rubber coated cable. I use two of these cables to secure Adirondack chairs on my front lawn using a heavy 10-inch metal spiral landscape stake and waterproof padlocks. I doubt if anyone would attempt to steal my chairs but just in case someone tries, these cables will protect my property. Bottom line: Well-made, rust proof, flexible, and very secure.

I was so tired of SHORT bike lock cables! I took the plunge and bought this one. It's 15' long. It is so easy now to weave it through your bike (securing both wheels). We have 2 bikes that we often lock up together and this is still long enough to get them both locked up. It is a super high quality cable with plastic coating, so doesn't scratch. I feel very secure using it (it's much thicker than standard bike lock/cables. I don't think it will rust any time soon! I use it ALL the time. It's currently got my tool boxes locked inside the back of my truck. I just need to get one more of these! Will totally but this again!

This product greatly exceeded my expectations. While the cable can easily be coiled by hand three or four times to fit under a bike rack clip or in a bike basket or backpack, it lays out flat when you uncoil it making it easy to weave it through both wheels and the bike frame with plenty of length remaining to wrap it around a bike station stand, light pole, fence post or other secure object. I can now securely lock up my bike in under 15 seconds instead of spending an aggravating four or five minutes struggling with my former coiled bike lock (which is now going into the donation bin). I ordered two more of these from my wife a daughter. Also, I like the fact that every inch of the cable and the loop ends and fittings are covered in vinyl and there is absolutely nothing to mar any part of the bike. This is a SIX star product.

It looks like it’ll work just fine, sturdy coating… it’s quite a bit lighter than I thought (weight) it would be.

Mostly a deterrent, I use this to secure the external solar panels for my travel trailer in camp and make sure no one walks off with them. It's solid and looks beefy which helps with deterrence. Nice and flexible which makes it easy to roll up and store, and doesn't have any memory so you aren't dealing with a bunch of curves that need to be straightened. Perfect for my use. Can't speak to how durable/resistant it is to someone actually trying to cut/break it, like most things a determined thief will probably get past it if they really want to.
