They last a long time. Equal parts beans and water, microwave for 30 seconds, them them absorb the water, stir.I keep these in my pantry at all time.

This stuff is great tasting and easy to make. Ignoring the directions, you can basically mix an equal volume of beans and hot water, stir and wait a moment. That's it, and it tastes fantsatic. I do wish it had an inbuilt zipper package, so I can make it a cup at a time, but still good.

Looks awful before you cook it. Looks like wood chips. But let me tell you. Add a very tiny bit of salt and MSG. Just a tiny bit. I like to add just a touch more water than the recipe calls for because it's easy enough to reduce if you would like (which I do). You can get them exactly how you like. The flavor of these beans will make you never want to buy the canned stuff again!! This brand has spoiled me. It's restaurant style beans.

love the beans, but I think they are overpriced.

I made this per the directions, but I eyeballed the measurements. Creamy with chunks of beany texture; hardy with excellent flavor. Then I added some olive oil and onion flakes after cooking -- it hit the spot. Could be diluted to make a bean soup and then add cans of boring plain beans, or endless other ingredients. Stores well; compact with a long shelf life. I wish it was less expensive. I want to get more. I wish they had big pails of it for a discount. The price is my only complaint.
