Great product, but when I ordered again in Texas June, the fat had rendered in the package and I got a soupy sausage that was not good.

I ordered 2. One was completely moldly! The other was fine, but not a lot of pepper flavor. Won’t order again.

The only thing that would make this better is if it were sliced for me! Seriously I love black pepper salami but this one beats them all! This is seriously coated in course ground pepper unlike many others I have tried that seemed a bit shy with the pepper. The meat is a great texture and flavor too. Together it is the perfect one for me!

I'm a big fan of San Francisco-style dry salami, so I thought I'd try this out. Sadly, the packing in olive(?) oil and mass amounts of coarse ground pepper seems more like a marketing gimmick than a taste improvement to me. As others have mentioned, the massive thickness of pepper on the outside is way too much for eating, so be sure to brush it off before slicing the salami. The taste was good, but for me no better than the "standard" San Francisco area dry salami varieties, so I won't be re-ordering this one, especially given the price.
