Aquatic Plant Bulbs - for Aquariums with temperatures Under 72F (Bolivianus Aponogeton Bulb)

One day after receiving my bulbs (madagascarensis) and putting them in water, they started to sprout! Remarkable! I don't know how they do it.

When I oprned it and went to plant it in my tank I noticed what looked like mold. It wasnt a whole lot and it wiped off. However, despite doing everything I was supposed to, watching videos and everything to ensure this plant grows beautifully, it never grew. It was a complete dud. I should have gotten my money back but I wanted to give it time to see if it would actually grow. Kind of a double edged sword if you ask me, considering you can only request a refund in a certain amount of time but also have to wait for it to grow.Waste of money. Buy from your local aquarium shop.

The most unique plant you can get for your tank. Considered by most to be difficult to grow, however its general needs in terms of PH, Temp, light, fertilizer, etc... are nothing out of the ordinary. The plant can be fussy and may not be the heartiest of plants. With that said, its beautiful, but pricey and a bit hard to find. Buying in bulb form is cheaper, and more challenging, but also quite a rewarding experience.I purchased 3 bulbs. They came quickly and packaged well. However, after almost 2 months of trying to get them to sprout using a variety of techniques generally recommended, none of the bulbs sprouted. They all essentially rotted. Very dissapointing.However, a quick email to the vendor and they sent me 3 new bulbs within 24 hrs, no questions asked. These new bulbs are great! All three were in a partial state of sprouting and thus very viable. Within 3 days of planting in my 75G tank, one bulb has 3 leaves ~ 1.5" and several new sprouts as well, the second bulb has one leaf over an 1" and the third bulb is just starting to show a sprout. Thats excellent. I look forward to watching them grow over the next few months.I'm giving 5 stars because the vendor has been very reputable with service being excellent. When buying aquarium plant bulbs, the success rate of sprouting can be very low or nothing. With a plant like this, success can be even more limiting. I knew that from much past experience. This vendor stood behind their product and provided fast, excellent service. Very satisfied and would recommend to others.

The bulb arrived in good condition, didn't look like much. I just dropped it in the area I wanted it not putting it under the gravel at all. Within hours new growth showed. Within days I had a small plant. It's been a couple weeks and the growth has slowed a bit. The bulb has put roots into the gravel I still have not planted the bulb at all. This is still the most beautiful fastest growing plant in any of my tanks. I would absolutely buy this plant again from seller. The most important thing is do not cover at all with gravel or you risk rotting.

When I received the three plants I ordered, I was shocked how small they were. There was absolutely zero leaf and just three little bulbs. I placed them in different tanks weeks ago. So far, absolutely no growth. One even rotted away. The pictures on this item is dishonestly deceiving. I message the seller after they arrived. He did offered to credit me if I send them back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I ordered 2 bulbs and they arrived quickly in less than a week. I opened the box - one of the bulbs was fine, and I placed it into my tank. The other bulb, however, was oddly shaped, and when I cut off a part of the bulb, a worm came out about the length of my index fingernail. It was disgusting. I've isolated it in a bowl of water, but it is yet to be seen whether not either will sprout.Edit (5 months later): Both bulbs sprouted. They seem to be different species; one is short with pale green leaves, while the other has grown to the length of my forearm with massive deep green leaves. These things literally need no nutrients nor substrate: both grew on a barebottom tank for a month.

The media could not be loaded. I got it as bulb but look how it grown! Just only for three weeks. Very healthy and happy. My fish loves it. Definitely will buy from the seller again and highly recommended!🤗🤗🤗 Suggestion: get a good plant light and Seachem Flourish Excell Vits and your plant including bulb will ALL grow!UPDATES: Since I bought it on 10/2018, it grew tremendously. Once the bulb remain dormant, probably, I planted too deep. This bulb likes an eight of bulb ng San to receive nutrients. Once a week, a put a cap full of Excel Flourish Phosporous and Bioavailable Carbon for Planted Aquarium. My tank is 75 gallons and I discovered putting 2 tbsp of aquarium salt takes care of fish and if they get injured, this aquarium salt will heal minor wounds without separating to diff aquarium.This bulb was only $4.98 when I bought this 2 1/2 years ago. Ok I understand that cost of Living is now higher that’s why it’s almost three times the price.I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS TO BUY FROM SELLER AS THE PROOF IS THE VIDEO I JUST UPLOADED. All my fishes are happy. This is the proof!!!

i just wanted to say that the first bulb i had received smelled like mold and had already failed growing and once i had it in water it just physically grew mold so i was about to throw it away after i decided to request a replacement so i took it back and put it back in the water waiting for it to grow mold again so i could take a picture of it as proof it wasn't doing well so i didn't even complete my replacement request and they had already send another one a few days later and this one looked great and was growing nicely on it's own already so thank you amazon for always coming back with a good replacement every time i had a problem with an order. So far i have great trust with amazon. Keep it up.
