We've used them successfully for anchoring weed barrier fabric, securing drip irrigation lines, and holding down chicken wire, and they have performed flawlessly. A word of caution, however: while the quality is high, you do need to be careful when installing them in extremely dry, hard, or rocky ground. Because the metal is so rigid, trying to force them into unforgiving soil can cause the staples to bend or warp. If your ground is very dry, save yourself some frustration and time by briefly wetting the area first or using a rubber mallet to gently tap them in.
