The Art of Archer

I bought this book for my husband because we watch the show and it actually exceeded my expectations!😃 The amount of information and detail in this book is outstanding! They explain and show how they created the characters, the scenes and everything! It is super super cool and anybody who is a fan of the show needs this book!🙌

I love the book and the art style

Book should be renamed to "The Art and Making of Archer", it goes 50/50 between pre production scripts, concept art, storyboards and pre production works, and on the other half its the whole background design, the animation system, choreographic fights, special effects and even voice actors.Very good and well aimed for somebody into 2d or hybrid 2d/3d animation production as inspiration material and a guide on "how a serious studios can produce an animated series and live to tell the story".

Didn't know this book ran $30...It's big. It's heavy. Mine has new book smell.My only gripe, is a lot of stuff, that I think is kind of important, got left out. (Secondary characters. Woodhouse, Barry, Katya, et al.)But, otherwise, excellent.(The used book folks got it out, quickly. It came in a bag.)

Archer is one of my favorite shows and I find it endlessly hilarious. I can't count how many times I had to pause and go back to re-watch something that I missed because I was laughing so hard at the one-liner said immediately before. But not only is the writing great, but I love the art and consider it very close to my own style if I had time (and a small production staff) to really handle all the fine details. So I was really looking forward to this book that shows the inner workings of the Archer art & animation.--and I am not disappointed! Backgrounds and character building and so on are all outlined and described, and I've learned a few things that I am trying to incorporate into my own creative endeavors. If the technical aspects of art & animation are even of passing interest to you, then this book will be worth the time & money. Even if you don't work in the "style" of Archer's animators --say, if you're more of a Manga or Anime type-- then you can still learn a lot and apply some of the things they do here to your own ideas. Insightful and instructive, and gets the creative mind going.

What can I say about this book. I love the animation company and this book. It's a hefty animated tv film knowledge about the show.Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Straight off the bat, this is a must have for ANY fan of the show.The book is hardcover, 220+ pages and covers just about everything you would want to know about the show, from character design, voice talent, the original pilot, how they animate a scene/episode, one-off extras they've used to promote the show,and countless other topics than I think you'll just have to buy the book to see yourself. lolI just got this for christmas, and while I haven't gone through all of it in detail yet, it has definitely gotten me even more excited for the new season premiere next month

I was impressed with the size and sturdiness of the book. I thought, surely it is some lame, flimsy magazine style thing, but NO! IT IS AWESOME! I LOVE IT! No Rampage needed!

Great book with amazing illustrations of your favourite characters. More pages than anticipated, which was a nice surprise. The pages are great quality and there is lots of detail to make you chuckle on each page.Bought as a gift for an Archer fan. They loved it! Would recommend.

Love Archer and every thing about it and this book is not a dissapointment. It is a great insight and collection of photos and information, from this amazing animated TV show. You are reminded of funny happenings and quips from one episode to another, as you flip through the book. Nicely presented, laid out and graphically lavish. A must for all fans.

Fantastic look into the world of Archer. As a massive archer fan i had to buy this, fantastic lay out on humorous as ever. Any archer fan would love to add this to their collection.

So much detail in this book. It was even better than expected. I purchased this for my boyfriends birthday as he loves the show and he thinks it's amazing!
