I'm so pleased with my flameless candles! They're nearly the perfect sizes (the largest one is slightly big for my liking; I've placed in the guest room and use the middle for living room, small in master bedroom).They emit the perfect amount of soft, flickering light in the night time. They appear somewhat realistic from afar. In a small space it really lightens up the room (I like to go to bed with a pitch black house aside from small bathroom sensor lights!)I love that the remote comes with a timer-it's the main reason I purchased this set incparticular. I set it to come on at 8:30 pm as it gets dark, and it doesn't turn off until 4:30 am when I get ready for work.Haven't used mine long enough to comment on the battery life, but they are easy enough to replace as well.I nearly chipped the bottom of the remote trying to remove the covering to put a battery inside, only to find out from other reviews that it already has one provided-which is nice and convenient! I will rarely use the battery except to change settings come daylight savings time (have it go on closer to 6:30 then), so I guess I'll face that issue down the road.Very happy with this purchase!

Finally found a winner! These are beautiful and realistic.I have been on the quest for flameless pillars for the large candle holders on my mantle for some time. Quality pillars have gotten so expensive that I find myself not burning them and only saving them for special occasions. I also don’t love having an actual flame potentially unattended while I’m entertaining. So I started trying multiple different types of flameless candles. Luminara looked realistic, but made odd, distracting yellow flashing patterns on the wall, other brands were dim or orangey/fake looking.These are great: real wax exterior with liquid wax detail around the flame, black wick detail, and the 3D flame is very bright and white. These come with a remote and they do have a flicker “candle” mode, but I think they look most realistic when they are on continuous light mode. The candles use 3AAA batteries each, and the batteries you use make a big difference! I initially put some lower performance rechargeable batteries in, and thought I was going to have to return these, as they looked dim and fake. But when I changed to high performance rechargeables, these were bright and realistic for hours of use!! I will say, during the day when off, the 3D flame looks pretty fake, so I will keep my real wax candles for the decorative look. But I will definitely be keeping these flameless ones in my nearby storage table, to switch out for company or whenever I want to enjoy relaxing candlelight.

Gift for my mother. She was pleasantly surprised by how realistic they looked. Give off a soft light and are easily controllable.
