Cat Scratching Post Wrap - Replacement Scratching Cover CLT-280, Open Package by Catland

I have a fairly large cat tree/play set. The 3 bottom legs were covered with sisal/rope when it was new, but the cats have completely torn the rope off. Instead of wooden legs, this tree has cardboard legs under the rope and the cats have clawed through the cardboard and left gaping holes. I tried re-covering the legs with pieces of carpet and attached with a staple gun, but the cats have clawed thru that carpet and sometimes pulled the staples out as well, so the carpet is dangling. I used one of these post wraps on one leg to see if they would rip it off while scratching. I've had it a few weeks and so far, so good. The velco is strong enough that they have not been able to rip it off of the post. The sisal is heavy duty and covered the holes in the legs well. It looks a lot nicer now. Covering the legs with these wraps is certainly cheaper than having to replace the whole cat tree/play set especially since it is big and was expensive. I'm going to buy more to cover the other legs that the cats have torn up.Update: 5/4/12 I had this wrap for several months now. All of the cats scratch on it but none have been able to tear it off of the leg of the cat tree. Once on, this thing stays put!

So glad to find these replacement scratch post covers! This style (CLT-280) fits the standard post size very well and they are made with strong Velcro to hold the cover together.

This was way easier than stapling and glueing a sisal rope on a cat pole. It also doesn’t shed and can withstand 2 cats.

I order these on a regular basis and will continue. The velcro holds in place well. They last long for their size, about 5 or 6 months ( They get a lot of use by my cats) . They are inexpensive & better than buying a new scratching post every couple of years which can get pricey (a good cat post is so overpriced as it is). I wish they were a little larger overall- wider and a tad bit longer. They only fit on the one skinny wooden post that had rope that I removed because it was worn off. They wont fit over posts that have a standard carpet covering unless you are able to remove the carpet- mines too hard to take off. Or unless the carpet is real thin. But overall I am pleased with them!

Arrived a few days early. Perfect size for my cat tree...like the ability to turn the mat over for additional use. I do have a bit of hesitation..since everything on the package is in Japanese I am trying to find someone near my home that reads/speaks Japanese as I don't know if there is anything I would be aware of as to safety of my pet and any do's and don'ts. So far all seems OK ... my cat likes it and best of all USES IT!!! If there are no problems I will be ordering six more.

My cat is not smart enough to realize this is a scratching post cover and has just moved on to another post. Having said that, it’s a great product for slightly smarter cats. It fits perfectly, covers the destruction completely and doesn’t seem like it would slip or come undone. I would purchase again if my cat ever figures it out.

It hold on well and looks very good. It is well made and only smells as you would expect it to being made out of sisal. I hope to get more of these.Too bad they have to come all the way from Japan which take nearly 3 weeks. My cats took to it immediately. Would love to see some a bit longer to fix taller condo poles.

Covered up a ratty scratching post perfectly! Cats love it. Only complaint is it took two months to get here

この爪とぎシートを巻き付ければ麻縄グルグルする手間暇もなくワンタッチで裏表使えて大助かり！でもキャットタワーのメーカーが違うため、うちのは支柱が細過ぎて取り付けられない…そんな時にはコレ！　タオル!!このタオルを巻き付けるだけで支柱が太くなり、爪とぎシートもぴっちり固定！支柱が細い分にはどれだけサイズが合わなくともタオルの厚みを調整するだけで、必ずジャストサイズに！…で、何のレビューでしたっけ？あ、そうそう、爪とぎシートの話でしたね。うちの猫も喜んで愛用してますよ。

開封したらごみ？がたくさんついていた。(画像)アイリスオオヤマの開封後がっかり2回目、、1回目は本棚で、虫がわいてました。それがあったので、やっぱり⁈となりました。まあ、猫たちが気に入ったらいいかーと装着してみました。装着にはマジックテープがついてますが、巻き付けの調整は不可です。これもマイナスポイント。結局猫たち、二匹は見向きもしませんでした。。実家にも猫いるのでそちらで再度つかえるか試してみます。正直猫が気にいるかどうかは賭けみたいなものですが、商品のゴミと巻き付け調整できないのはメーカーが頑張らないといけない部分だと思いました。

うちにあるキャットタワー用のものではないけれど、サイズをみたらピッタリ使える！と思い3枚買いました。タワーのポールにはもともと麻紐が巻かれています。日焼けで麻紐が茶色になってきます。爪とぎされてますがまだ紐は綺麗です。ボロボロになってからだとこれはその上から巻けないサイズとなるな、と思い、日焼け止めのためにも早いうちに買ってみました。これはピッタリ！きっちりきつく巻いてテープがしっかりと止まる感じです。猫も麻紐と同じようにこれで爪とぎを好んでしています。爪とぎで同じところがボロになったら巻き直して綺麗な部分を移動させたら長く使えます。いつか麻紐がボロになる前に、ほかのポールの分も買い足して巻きたいなと思います。

壁を爪とぎしてほしくないので、ケージの中の猫ベッド横に縫い付けています。寝て起きて即爪とぎ出来るのが好きみたいで壁には見向きもしないｗマジックテープは解いて外し、ケージの各支柱部分に木綿糸で結び付ける感じにしています。爪とぎ以外にも頭を擦り付けるのにも丁度いい粗さのようなので１シーズン１枚くらいのペースで買い続けです。
