I first got this little flashlight 3 years ago, and it lived on my keychain until recently. It handled 3 years of being beat up by my keys, dropped on concrete, and tumbled around in my bags before it finally gave out. Though I didn't use it on a daily basis, it certainly came in handy often enough, so I immediately felt the loss when my old one died. One day later I went online and ordered a replacement.I've had a lot of little flashlights on my keychain over the years, but none have lasted like this one. It's very bright for such a small piece, and it's well-made. The metal housing can take a lot of bumps and scrapes without affecting functionality, and it's considerably smaller than the others I've had. I love that it's not the least bit bulky but works so well. Of course, I have plenty of larger, brighter flashlights for typical use, but this little flashlight is great to have when you're on the go and least expect to need one.

Absolutely fantastic flashlight. I bought it thinking I would need to use 10440 batteries in it to have enough brightness for how tiny it is, but wow was I wrong! Even a AAA battery puts out a ridiculous amount of light for how tiny it is. I could work on a car with this thing if I had to, it is that bright.All I use this for is everyday carry light duty stuff looking for problems/leaks on analyzers in the lab I work in, and it is excellent. Battery life is also great, but I honestly have not used it enough to give an accurate idea of daily-use battery life because I do not actually use the light every day for a significant amount of time. Look at other reviews for battery life info.I do recommend storing the light in your pocket with the barrel slightly unscrewed because I have had the tail switch get turned on in my pocket once and it killed the battery. Not really a big deal to me though, I just test the light once a day to make sure the battery is still charged and see that it's at full brightness.The silicone glow in the dark diffuser they send with it is also fantastic. Just a second or two of the light being on and the diffuser gets charged enough to be surprisingly bright at night for minutes at a time. I can successfully navigate a pitch black area indoors from just the diffuser glowing. I also carry the light with the diffuser on 24/7 because the light is still bright enough it to use for general flashlight purposes. This gives me the option to have the diffuser on or off whenever I want/need it, and the silicone is high enough quality that it will last a long time if properly looked after.Overall, I love this flashlight and I will be buying a few of them this holiday season to give out as gifts!

1. The color is a matte finished steel gray with a hint of purple. Unique enough to tell it apart from others, but keeps to the gray scale nicely.2. The size is very comparable to the K18. I could even use the diffuser with this older model K18. This keeps some parts interchangeable between models of the same caliber.3. The diffuser is very effective and glows in the dark without the need to be exposed to UV. The same goes for the green halo inside the lense.4. This chain clip looks to be easily removeable from, but will be difficult to remove by accident and is made of some type of metal, most assumably steel.The only two things worthy of critique from my perspective are these:1.The gap in the front between two pieces of the body does not match that of the lines in the back. However, considering the price of this light, that is such a small detail that it does not affect my overall view of the product and the subsequent rating. It's unnoticeable if you're not looking for it.2. The brightest setting is bright, the lowest setting is dimmer, but looks very similar after your eyes have adjusted. The K18 has a third setting that goes low enough to read a book with in an unlit environment. Reading white pages in the same setting with the K1 will hurt your eyes eventually.If Ultratac needed to make an improvement on this light, having a much dimmer setting would be optimal.It’s a good every carry. The lack of dimness makes it less desirable by way of versatility, but I find the value to be in the brightness, durability, and size.

Decent little flashlight. Small and compact. Clips to shirt or hat for use. Not the brightest or widest light pattern but great for close up illumination without being bulky.

This light is made of very durable aluminum black anodized and for its size using a AAA battery has a very bright light activated by a tail switch. The operation is very simple with three different modes, strobe high and low. It easily fits in any size pocket, is very reliable. Its light intensity is focused in a small enough diameter circle to be very useful for relatively long distances. I have been purchasing this class of flashlight for many years now but the activation by the tail switch as well as the rotating of the barrel makes it a very easy to use and efficient light source. And finally the cost of this flashlight considering its features and very High quality workmanship is extraordinary.

Impressive little light. I am impressed. But also a little disappointed. I was really expecting the output to jump up significantly when running a 3.7v lithium 10440. But it doesn't get any brighter. With that being said. The 180 lumens that it does put out is impressive. Nice tight hot spot with a good amount of spill. It has good amount of throw as well. 50 yards or so I'd say. And I imagine it will run a llloooonnnnggg time using a 10440 even on high. And it doesn't get hot. The low setting is bright enough to be useful but not dim enough to not disturb somebody sleeping. It would be nice if it had a 1-5 lumen setting. It does have mode memory which is nice. And the diffuser is super handy. It can light a decent sized room up if needed.

This little flashlight is brighter than I expected. I carry it everywhere comes in really handy at work
