BABY MERLIN BRAND: BABY SLEEP SUIT & INFANT SWADDLE
BABY SLEEP SUIT & MICRO-FLEECE SWADDLE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS) Highly recommend this infant sleep suit for all babies who sleep best when swaddled securely and tightly. If your child rests most soundly when they are tightly bundled yet manage to wiggle their way out of their blanket swaddle, this microfleece sleepsuit is for you! My children have all loved being zipped up into this sleepsuit and have all seemed to find it cozy and comfortable. I’ve found that my kids all slept longer stints and more soundly when wearing this swaddle. They also fall asleep faster with less tossing and turning and uncomfortability prior to falling fast asleep. My son preferred solely wearing his diaper under the sleepsuit as an infant whereas my girls preferred to be in pajamas and then tucked into this magic sleepsuit. It provides the infants with a secure and tight fitting swaddle and almost acts as a weighted blanket for the child to optimize sleep. The only downside is the washing and cleaning of this product. We machine wash it along with other baby clothing however, we don’t dry it as it will tighten and shrink. It takes a solid 12 hours to fully air dry once machine washed so be mindful of this when doing laundry. The inside area by the legs and bottom region takes the longest to completely and fully dry, so we unzip the suit and hang it with the front flap open, once the wash cycle is complete, to ensure the inside dries completely. No one wants to be stuck without their child’s favorite sleep swaddle when bedtime rolls around, so be mindful when laundering.

By far the best purchase for my baby and myself
This is by far the most important purchase that I made for my baby, my husband, and myself. I recommend it to every new parent I meet who has a baby with sleep issues and even experienced parents (my sister-in-law is going to try it with her second baby). Some of the mothers I recommended this sleepsuit to tried it with their own babies, and they found that their babies were sleeping for about eight-hour stretches at night shortly after they started using the suit. Before I started putting my daughter in the suit to sleep, I was recovering from severe postpartum depression and in major need of consistent sleep so that I could be the best version of myself for my baby. My two-month-old daughter was sleeping okay, with her longest stretch probably about five or six hours. She hated being swaddled and could break out of the tightest swaddle from when she was a couple of weeks old. The instructor in my mothers' group offhandedly recommended this sleepsuit, but I wrote the name down since I was willing to try out anything to help my daughter sleep. She was below the recommended age for the suit, and it was way too big for her, but I made some adjustments (like rolling up the sleeves) so that she was secure inside. The first night she slept okay, maybe six hours. She did cry at first when I put her in, and it took a couple of nights for her to get used to the sleepsuit. By the end of the first week using the sleepsuit, she was sleeping eight hours per night on average. Now, at five months, she is sleeping 12-13 hours at night (with no late night feedings) with two 2-4 hour naps in the suit. This is great for both of us, since she gets the sleep she needs to develop, and I have time to recharge and even time to work from home during the day. I can tell that a lot of the credit for her sleeping so well goes to the sleepsuit. Whenever I put her down for a nap without the suit, she sleeps much less. I suppose that is my only concern regarding the suit--transitioning her out of it. I already ordered the 6-9 month version, but I will probably start trying to transition her out of it fairly soon so that the transition goes more smoothly. I would almost say that the suit works too well. My five-month-old baby sleeps about 18 hours per day, so it can be hard to get out of the house and do things with her. The other thing that could be considered an issue but that hasn't really been a problem for me is that the suit really restricts what the baby can wear to bed. I usually put my daughter in just a diaper and a onesie before putting her in the suit. One night I tried putting her in just a diaper, but she managed to wriggle out of the suit, so I definitely would recommend against doing that, especially for babies on the smaller side. One final weird issue that I have had with the suit is that my mother-in-law, who babysits my daughter about twice a week, is afraid to put my daughter in the suit, because you do have to use a little bit of force to get the baby's arms through the sleeves. I could probably say more about how much I love this sleepsuit, but I think that's enough for now!

for our son, it was magic
Here's are sleep story thus far. Our son was good at many things but sleep was not one of them. In his first few months he was often up all night. No, I do not mean multiple wakings, I mean basically one or two wake-ups and then he couldn't get him back to sleep as hard as we tried. Some night he slept only 1.5 hours total. We tried all sorts of things, some things worked a little. Swaddling sort of seemed to work a little maybe but it was hard to tell because even as a newborn he would break out of his velcro swaddles. Then our postpartum doula introduced us to the Miracle Blanket swaddle. That was harder to break out of and our son liked it better. Around 3 or 4 months he started sleeping in 1-2 hours stretches because of the swaddle which was a huge improvement. But still, being up every 1-2 hours isn't great in the whole scheme of things, right? Just before our son turned 6 months we started feeding him solid food and he started sleeping way better and things were looking up, food + swaddle was a winning combination but we had a problem: SWADDLE ADDICTION. He could not sleep AT ALL without the swaddle. Why was this a problem? Several reasons. First, I was very scared he's roll on his belly while swaddled and get stuck. Because of my fear of this we got a video monitor, but it still sort of gave me anxiety every night (even though he never actually did this). Also, he sort of had a love/hate relationship with the swaddle. He needed it to fall asleep but sometimes I felt like it was interfering with his ability to resettle himself when he woke. Also, since our son has eczema and you can't itch yourself when you are swaddled it seemed uncomfortable at times. Imagine how maddening that would be, to have an itch and be wrapped up! And no, there was no way to unswaddle him after he fell asleep without waking him. We tried one arm out many times as a transition, but no luck, we were in a bind. Until we met the Magic Sleep Suit. It works like a charm. Our son loved it from the start. He feels cozy but isn't wrapped up so he can re-position himself to resettle or scratch an itch. At 8.5 months sleeps totally through the night (9pm - 7:15am) on maybe 50% of nights! We put him in naked with just a diaper and overheating has not been a problem. It's AMAZING. I can relax at night knowing he's safe and he won't be stuck if he rolls. I don't feel horrible that he might have an itch he can't get at. He's so happy to get in it every night, he does this cute little cozy wiggle as we zip him up. My husband and I look at each other all the time and say, "wow, I can't believe we made it past the swaddle!" I had no idea how we were going to get him past the swaddle. The sleep suit is very nicely designed. With 2 zippers it's easy in and easy out. Much easier than many swaddles.

Worked a charm as a swaddle transition for our little one. Only had to use for a week and could then stop swaddling. Very happy!

Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time thanks to this product. Since a few weeks old my baby has only slept soundly in someone's arms. The only time she would sleep in her cot was in a sleeping bag and it would only last 30 minutes before she'd wake herself up fidgeting. She has eczema so she would wake up and furiously scratch at herself but after one night in this sleepsuit she slept in her cot for 11 hours, only waking up once to feed. It's a miracle! I've already ordered a second one and I can't rave about this product enough. Pros: Everyone gets some sleep No more fidgeting and fussing Keeps baby at a good temperature She looks like a super cute marshmallow Cons: Takes a long time to dry Have to completely take baby out to change The cons are very minor in comparison to a good night's sleep and I would recommend to any parent struggling to get their little one to sleep.

I wouldn't say this is a magic suit, it definitely did not meet expectations for all. Unfortunately it did not work for my little one. I was desperate to try anything, and too expensive. They should offer money back guarantee if doesn't work. Just have to add it to the list of waste of money gone down the drain :(
