If I order it today what manufacturing date are you selling to me I need it to have the 5 years left.?

I can't speak for the supply at Amazon or the other vendors. but I know mine are dated within the last 30-45 Days. I order from them bi-weekly. I think they have 11-18 on them, maybe 12-18. Please don't order just one from though the cost of shipping for it is 6.35 so I lose money on the order. 3-5 helps a ton.

Would storing in a get home bag in your car still last 5 years?

Perhaps though for your wellbeing and to be sure you don't get sick I would refresh the food in your get home bag at least every 3 months. It's no fun having to eat old stale and possibly spoiled food.

Are you still hungry after eating it?

if you're hydrating or hydrated with it, it helps. I bought these to test out for my bugout bag and decided to bring them to college with me. I found I could eat the bar most times and not necessarily be hungry but usually left feeling unsatisfied. These are honestly just empty calories. In saying that, they will give your body calories to burn, but i wouldnt rely on them alone unless you had to :)

Does this handle high temps

Don't know for sure but if its like other survival/mre type of food, then temperature will degrade the lifespan of the rations. These might be okay over the summer in a hot car or shed but I would assume the 5yr shelf life had been shortened by the heat.

Read before buying

Product came, vaccum packed, everything seems to be fine, however the shelf life is not 5 years. It is only 3 and a half so keep that in mind if purchasing now or later. It seems like they don't ship new batches with 5 years shelf life but they ship whatever they have on stock.
