This replaced a Pioneer AV amp that had started to 'pop' its output into the speakers. The set up instructions are easy to follow and the on line pdf detailed user manual is well set out. Much easier to use than my 13 year old Pioneer. Wiring for speakers and plugging in the hdmi connections, and then referencing these so that the information is displayed on the amp was logical and easy to complete. Setting up the amp volumes and balance for the channels used a tripod and microphone that come with the amp. Very easy to use following the on screen instructions. The balance and sound reproduction is perfect. The amp does exactly what I need. It is also slim enough to sit within a unit housing a PS5, a sky box and the tv and ipod connector; as well as sitting alongside a Cd blu ray player, and a separate valve amp. A great fit. So the advantage is the amp size, sound quality and all round improvement.

Hice la migración de un AVR Denon a este Marantz y el cambio fue significativo, también hice el upgrade de las speakers e hicieron buena sinergia.

After using this for a month I can say that it is just perfect for my home. The setup took a while but the system guides you all along to get the optimal sound for your room. The Wifi & Bluetooth work perfectly and I'm able to stream music from my phone or laptop via Airplay seamlessly... I had heard so much about Marantz and now I can understand why!

Update after 2 months: The first couple of times you really use this device, it will get HOT and smell. Please keep it ventilated properly and the heat will not negatively impact the life span on this device... The quality of sound and simple hookup from TV to devices through this receiver has been a joy. Only other item to note, my TV requires me to select 'audio source' in sound over 'Tv Speakers' to send audio in sync to the receiver. My only complaint is the USB port is always powered, even in standby. Hope that helps. Easy setup on TV via HDMI / ARC connection and tuner remote. This even measures your speaker setup for optimal sound and adjusts the volume of each speaker automagically. The connection on the back has space for my 4 HDMI input (ps4, bluray, turntable, laptop) and one extra :). The speakers are all two wire, so now my 5.1 system is driven by a 100W tuner with ARC support to my TV. My old tuner did not have ARC and this is a HUGE upgrade. Even my streaming apps (minus Disney) get Dolby Plus for 5.1. The only oddity is HEOS... why? you have airPlay... so just play music that way... why let an app sell what you listen to? Great small solution (half the size of a Yamaha or Onkyo) for me, loving it.

Bought this for a fantastic deal on Amazon warehouse deals. Arrived like it had never been touched. I bought this to replace my Yamaha s601 slim line receiver as that one didn’t do hdr or Dolby vision. What I didn’t expect was the big improvement in overall sound. The center channel for movies is much louder, bass is more even and smooth. I can listen at lower volumes and I don’t feel it necessary to increase the volume. Not sure if it’s the ypao vs audyssey but definite ly a nice improvement. I’m going to miss MusicCast as the rest of my amps and speakers are all MusicCast but I’m happy with the purchase. The on screen menus are old but they do the job. I do wish it had a dedicated audyssey button on the remote.
