It's a glass mixing bowl.
I've wanted a glass bowl for my mixer for years. I finally found one and bought it. It's a solid glass bowl. It has measurement graduations on it if you need them, however I don't know anyone who isn't measuring their ingredients long before they reach the mixing bowl.I'm very happy with the quality and heft of the bowl. Now to buy the other hundred or so accessories I want for it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great large capacity bowl with spout. Fits in my basic, 30-year-old KitchenAid.

So much prettier than stainless steel
Beautiful and durable. The glass is thick so it’ll take a bit to break. Also I love being able to see if things are stuck to the bottom or if my sourdough is bubbling

Broke bottom
The bowl was in it position on the mixing stand and when I twisted it to undo it from the stand to take the ball off, the bottom broke and the piece of glass with the little knob stayed in the KitchenAid holder. I hope this is warrantied.

This boil fits on my KitchenAid mixmaster, but it’s so big. It’s hard to find the right position. It certainly does hold enough dough.
