OEM Original Panasonic Quality - Don't Skimp
Spend a couple of extra bucks and buy quality OEM Panasonic batteries for your Panasonic phone. These batteries last for many years. Mine lasted for at least 10. Cheap off-brand can fail fast and not hold a charge like these.

Odd Behavior For an Authentic Panasonic Product
While this appeared to be original Panasonic batteries in original packaging, the batteries are not acting the same as original Panasonic batteries I purchased in the past. Once in the phone, they do appear to fully charge to 4 bars as expected. They do fall to one bar almost immediately, as though the charge is about out, however, the charge then seems to last for much longer than I would expect them to last at one bar. In the end I still seem to have to recharge each handset in almost as short a timeframe as I did on batteries that were at end of life. I replaced the batteries in 2 handsets and both follow this same behavior. The original batteries I purchased in the past in the store, held 4 bars for a long time (weeks if not months) before going to 3 bars then to 2, etc. Next time I'll see if Batteries Plus (store) is still carrying these and buy them there if so.

Panasonic brand rechargeable batteries. Nuff said. Just buy them.
Necessary to buy Panasonic brand rechargeables? No. Necessary to buy name brand OEM car parts, name brand tools, etc? On a case by case basis, it depends. On the other hand, if you want to be assured of best possible performance backed by manufacturers well known for their engineering prowess, quality control, customer support, trustworthy performance and safety, best to stick with known quantities.I use only Panasonic rechargeables in 'mission critical' equipment, equipment that is often very expensive. I'm aware of other brands that are well reviewed and reportedly reliable but Panasonic batteries (and many other products) have proven to be extremely trustworthy over a very long period of time. I'd say the gold standard.Bottom line: buy with no hesitation. They're worth the extra few bucks if only for the peace of mind.
