I gave this 5-STARS, because it did arrive in good condition, on time, and is as described. I purchased this because it's supposed to LOWER Cholesterol with a PLANT BASED Product. Which is ALL TRUE. However, I just found out Red Yeast Rice is in LEGAL LIMBO, with the FDA in Court, SUING this is NOT just a Supplement, - but an UNREGISTERED Rx DRUG, - because it contains the SAME compound as STATIN, which IS A Rx DRUG. Another issue is the Amount of Active Ingredient in this Red Yeast Rice, which VARIES by which variant of Yeast and How the Yeast is grown on What kind of Rice. This product does not ID either the Yeast nor the Rice, so there's NO WAY to tell. STATIN is a FDA Rx Drug, and CAN be Overdosed, with possible BAD Consequences. Sp. that means this can ALSO be OVERDOSED too. But there's NO WAY to predict that with this product. If I knew all this befpre hamd, I would NOT have purchased this item. I take them daily. They haven't killed me. But I'm not sure they've reduced my cholesterol. Do they work? I don't know.

Dropped my Statin Rx and picked up these instead. I was taking a statin as a preventive measure. Not medical advice. Get your blood levels checked regularly. My total cholesterol is under 190....very happy with that number.

Took product for 3 months dropped over 15 points. Stopped taking it for 3 month went up 20 points. Took again for 3 months and measured my cholesertrol. LDL again dropped almost 20 points. I highly recommend to try this. May not be for everyone but works for me

I tried taking statins as per my doctor. O M G ...They made me feel like I was 90 yrs old. I was teaching grades K,1 & 2 at the time & spent a lot of time sitting on the rug to be face to face with the students. I noticed it was getting more difficult to stand up without assistance. After much research I realized it was a side effect of the statin meds. I told my doctor I was going to stop taking them because it was impeding my life...but I'd be willing to take a natural alternative. My research showed red yeast rice might be a good alternative. was hesitated to try, and after 1 and half bottle, today my doctor updated on recent blood test report and surprisingly the LDL dropped quite a bit to normal range, I believe this product has contributed to the positive outcome, along with regular exercise, all my other blood indicators show no side effects, even recommended it to my doctor, definitely will continue buying and see how it goes
