I use this bucket for draining my Toyota 4runner transmission for drain and fill or dropping the pan, and replacing the filter. For transmissions with a "check plug" instead of a dip stick you need to know how much was drained so you can add the drained amount plus 1/2 quart. A bucket with graduations is helpful to determine how much new fluid to put back. After filling run the engine to warm up the transmission fluid. When it is 105 to 110 degrees F give or take a few remove the check plug and drain until the stream of fluid just starts to dribble. Reinstall the plug and the level will be correct. To check fluid temperature I use a lazer thermometer and measure the area of the pan where the fluid returns. Don't fall for the hype that you have a "sealed transmission with lifetime fluid". Service every 30,000 miles and your transmission will last much longer.

Indeed, too expensive but accurate and sturdy. The embossed numbers on the inside make it less than perfect for cleaning. Seems like there shoukd be more options for this type of thing. Its a bucket with measurements. Yes, it is. Shipping and packing was fine. I'm fine, you will be, too
