Q: How many come in a package? The Amazon sales page lists both 2 and 6.

This package include 6pcs, I have corrected the title, sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: How do you cut these?

I use a dremel with a reinforced cut-off disk. Best to secure the steel rod in a vice, the use the dremel, I cut about half way through and nudge it on the other side and then it will brake off easily. You can use a grinder or the dremel again to smooth the end. If you don't have a dremel then a hacksaw. Best to get a new blade, and again secure it in the vice. Cut slowly, if you go fast it will work against you and not yield to you cutting it.

Q: what type of stainless steel is this? 303, 304, 316?
