They work!
Love them! Entire house uses Hue bulbs (apart from the loft!)Good light outputReliableStays connected to the hub.Appear to last for yearsStill quite expensive ...Only grip is you can't backup/restore the hub configuration, so if you kill the hub you have to manually enter the serial number of each bulb (or hue device) back into the new hub. (without using "lamp stealer" or telnet to "steal" the bulb)

Easily connected and customisable bulbs
Excellent light bulbs from trusted brand -- they're not cheap but given that their connectivity and compatibility with the average device is smooth, one could say they offer good value. The lighting is fully customisable, both in terms of brightness and shades. Easily connected (less than a minute) and very compatible.

Fantastic new toy!
Blown away by the variety of preset mood lighting. Huge amounts of fun selecting the right one for each film and the bright white is great for working. You can also change the intensity in each setting. It’s an expensive luxury but we get a lot of use out of it. Easy to pair and use from the phone app

Great lights but expensive
The lights are as bright and colourful as you are likely to need in almost any home. We’ve had them for a few months now and so far and they have been great. We found most of the more advanced scenes (such as rapidly changing colours) to be gimmicky, but they can be fun to mess about with. The Bluetooth connectivity is fairly good, but sometimes you have to wait a little while on opening the app. They are also fairly expensive compared to other smart lights so they are probably only worth buying if you connect them up to the WiFi hub.

I absolutely love Philips Hue lights
I absolutely love Philips Hue lighting and although they are not cheap I have found them to not only be really nice lights, and very controllable either via the Philips Hue app, one of the many accessory switches or sensors and even through Apple HomeKit.Bit what I really do have to stress is yes they are expensive but some of my hue lights are over 10 years old now and still working as well as they day they were fitted, I have my entire house full of them, my lighting costs next to nothing to run and I have never had to replace a Philips hue light because of failure.

The most solid smart bulbs
Hue bulbs are relatively pricey, but easily the best option for Home Assistant/ZHA use. They're reliable, colour accuracy is decent, they work as a repeater nicely and seem to have an iron grip on the network.Be aware of the relatively low brightness- especially with very saturated colours. That's just how they work, and not a peculiarity of Hue. If you need a bright work area, consider a higher output bulb- even though the higher power ones are quite a lot more costly. Be judicious with placement and cost can be kept under control.Good lighting makes everything a lot more nicer. A bunch of Hue bulbs with the Adaptive Lighting integration has made things very cosy- much moreso than I expected.
