The product was acceptable, however, it isn't 4 oz in weight, its only 2 oz. So basically half the weight. According to the instructions, this is only good for half a gallon of paint not the gallon they claim.

I’m confident ,in saying that this powder ,mixed into this paint will help to not have me slip from a slippery floor.

I was commissioned to make a loft bed for a friends oldest daughter with the stipulation that if the results were satisfactory a second bed would be ordered for the younger daughter as well. I wanted the bed to be not only stable but beautiful, functional, graceful and safe. Part of the safety was to make sure the ladder rungs were non-slip and yet clean and classically beautiful. I did not want a clumsy ugly carpet or plastic treads that are so often used in beds seen at Ethan Allen, or Havertys. I chose masonary defense fine grit. It was added it to polyurethane and carefully applied to the ladder rungs. It is the perfect fine grit solution that will prevent a slip and yet so unobtrusive that it let's the beauty of the wood shine through. It is a well thought out product that yields excellent results. I will use it in all similar applications in the future.

We recently installed new stairs and stained them a light grey tone. I swamped something that would keep the look but make sure no one slipped and broke their necks. The texture this adds sort of feels like soft sandpaper if you run your hand across it but doesn’t catch and tug. It’s gentle on even bare feet, I honestly don’t even feel it, I just notice that we aren’t sliding in socks anymore. It’s entirely clear and preserved the the look of the stairs perfectly. I used a small cup to mix with the amount of floor poly I needed for these coats. I did try sprinkling it on first as someone mentioned but that was not helpful at all. The way this product works, it really needs to be mixed in as directed.
