100% Cotton Fleetwood Mattress Cover, Zips Around The Mattress, Cot Size

Well made - Very snug fit. There is a trick to getting these on a foam mattress and I'm nice enough to share it with you. 1) Cut 2 pieces of card stock the width of the corner of your mattress (mine was 6 inches thick) 2) Gather up the cover (like you'd gather your sock to put on your foot) 3) Get someone to help hold the card stock in place as you slide the gathered cover over the corners of the mattress. 4.) Pull it down and once you've got it over those corners, you can slide the card stock down as you go. The fabric is very snug and sticks to the foam, but the card stock allowed me to slide it nicely. I washed mine first which probably made it tighter.

I'm on a tight budget right now and looked around for a replacement mattress for a small hide-a-bed. Yikes, they cost a fortune. I ended up ordering two of these: 2" x 30" X 72" Foam Sheet , foam of the highest quality from an excellent company here on Amazon, along with this Fleetwood Cot Mattress Cover, to make a 4" thick replacement mattress of my own. To say I'm delighted with the results would be an understatement. I have a dicey back and need a firm mattress- thick memory foam, even of the densest sort doesn't do it for me, too much give. This foam is JUST right (for me, anyway), super-firm yet comfy, and a bargain, guaranteed to last 7-10 years, and the seller is GREAT (the foam came in 2 DAYS!), plus they're friendly, answer emails/questions. Anyway, this muslin mattress cover was easy enough to put on. I bunched it up at one end of the foam (like a sock or a stocking, beginning at the toe), and inched it up the side of the mattress/foam, a few inches at a time, first one side then the other, going from side to side, until the foam was completely encased, then zipped it up. The zipper is at one end of the cover, and is just a standard zipper, so I'm guessing you'd have a tough time man-handling and putting any stress on the zipper to accommodate, say, a 7" mattress, you'd have to take your time. It probably goes without saying, but I think if you tried to feed the mattress into the mattress pad with it fully extended, without inching it on, it would put too much stress on the zipper and it would break. I can see the mattress pad would have easily accommodated thicker foam too, such as two of these: Foam Sheet 3" x 30" X 72" , or I could have used a 2" piece and a 3" piece to make a 5" thick mattress, or added a thin layer of memory foam. Anyway, I'm happy as pie and thought I'd mention the foam seller, Fabric Bravo, who ships FAST and answers any and all questions promptly, and I can vouch for the superb quality of their foam. I chose mattress cover this because it was all cotton with no vinyl like many mattress covers and was zippered. The fabric is somewhat thin, but it didn’t tear while I was putting it on a foam mattress. But I was surprised that the zipper did not go all the way around the mattress, just zips at one end and about a foot down each side. It was a struggle to get it on my cot mattress. I never would have been able to get it on to a heavy full-sized mattress.

This mattress cover fits perfectly on our daughter’s bed , it’s exactly the right size. It feels soft and doesn’t shift around. We added a thin mattress topper over it and now it feels even more comfortable.

This cover is exactly what I needed to refurbish an ancient rollaway that was in otherwise good condition. The mattress is still in good condition, but looked tired and discolored. This cover gives the bed new life. I also appreciate that it is 100% cotton, and safe for my grandchildren to sleep on.

I bought this as a cover for a cot style mattress, which is not very thick. This cover is large, I think it would fit a standard mattress. It was decent enough, worked for me as I tucked all the extra under the mattress but it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

The cushion arrived very quickly and timely. I opened the package, pulled it out and unwrapped it from the packaging. I quickly expanded, and is now at it's full width of 5". Nice and firm. I had purchased a separate mattress cover, and placed it around the cushion. I will be using this as a 'base' for my 4" memory foam mattress in my truck camper. It's the perfect size and perfect firmness to make my camping trips comfortable.

I liked the fit...a little large on my 4" foam cot mattress but easy to get on and will give no problem getting off to launder. I wish the quality of the fabric would be less coarse though. I expect it will pill after much use. However, it will do the job nicely and I am pleased to have it.
