Yes, the insulation blanket does not cover the mounting location for the folding shelf.

Q: can you use it during summer to use less pellets ?

I use the blanket on my grill 24/7/365. It has made it extremely efficient and uses much less pellets than without the blanket. In the summer my traeger heats up super fast and in the winter obviously it keeps it hot. I have not had any problems with my traeger overheating nor have I had any fires.

Q: Will this fit the ironwood 650?

This is an inaccurate statement. I have an Ironwood 650 and the ONLY double wall is on the sides, not the curved parts. Treager NEEDS to make a blanket for the Ironwood series. Hot windy day in Nebraska and I can't get ribs to get to 160° internal temp without hiking the temperature way up. And it 85° outside, but just real windy

Q: Will this fit the Texas Elite 34?

Yes it will. My grill is the 34. Ever since I got this hitting temp on a cold night has not been a problem.
