My dad used to cook these in the 60s, does anybody know the flavors? Ours whenever seafood they were things like potato, bacon, etc.

Not flavored, we fry and fill with cream cheese mixed with shrimp, chives, anything really. Also good alone

Do they smell when you cook them?

It’s more of a fried food smell than a fishy smell. Nothing very noticeable or unpleasant. Watching them pop open is magical.
