Beechlane means simplicity Saved my fridge
Wow cannot say enough about this beechlane fan, came with everything in order to install it on the access door to my rv fridge as well as mounting brackets . Super clean super easy to operate and so silent. Within an hour of installing this the back of my rv fridge was 10 deg. Cooler even in the hot arizona summer and I could already see it was making a difference on my absorption fridge. Well made the wire connections worked easily to connect and reconnect and the controller worked flawaless. After a dry run i ran the controller inside so that i could make future fan adjustments from inside the coach. I then proceeded to install another fan at the top due to how large the void behind the fridge was and let me tell you we are moving some air now. Thank you again beechlane so glad i chose you.

Really Effective Solution to Keeping RV Refrigerator Coils Ventilated
This has been a game changer for the Novakool refrigerator on my RV. The all-electric Novakool was struggling to maintain low temperatures on hot days, especially when the sun was beating on the exterior vent grills. I installed the Beech Lane system and now the refrigerator labors less, while cooling levels stay well within acceptable limits. The twin fans are quiet and powerful, yet (by my measurements) draw only 0.05A - 0.65A, depending on fan speed. This is a net improvement in battery drain since the demands on the compressor, which generally draws between 1.5 and 3.0 amps (depending on battery state-of-charge), are reduced. The controller has two modes: "Auto" and "Manual". In "Auto" mode, the system's thermostat and controller do the job of modulating fan speed to meet rising or falling ambient temperatures. Or, in "Manual" mode, any one of six fan speeds can be preset by the user to run indefinitely. I find that "Auto" mode works great with trigger temperature set at either ambient (exterior) mid-day temperature, or 90F, whichever is less. The fans then gradually increase speed as temperature at the sensor rises above the preset level. It's most efficient to mount the fans' thermostatic sensor in close proximity to the refrigerator's condenser coils and the fans themselves on the interior, upper portion of the vent grill, positioned to draw air away from the coils. The controller itself can be mounted anywhere (I mounted mine inside the RV, directly above the refrigerator - see photo). The instructions were clear and I had no trouble installing the system and wiring it up. Very pleased so far, but I'll update this review if anything changes.

This really is custom made for RV absorption fridges
This fit like a glove with no modifications. Everything works great. Very quiet except when on the highest speed. Even then you can’t hear it inside. If there was anything that might have been better for my application it would be some simpler way to attach the thermistor that reads the temperature when you have it on automatic. I worked out something easy enough to place the thermistor high on the condenser coils. But mine is hard to reach. If my setup had upper and lower outside vents then it would have been a snap to place the thermistor, but mine has a roof top vent and I didn’t want to get on the roof. Everything is working as advertised. It controls fan speed and on off by the temperature around the condenser coils. I placed the remote in the back of the fridge compartment. I would have preferred to place it inside the camper but my setup just didn’t allow that. Anyway, I’m impressed by the product and glad I got this one because of ease of installation. Took me maybe thirty to forty five minutes to install. I did have to reverse the fan direction because I wanted it to blow into the compartment. It comes as if mounted at the top of a two vent setup and therefore blows out. The instructions should tell you at the beginning to determine fan direction. Then you can easily do it before mounting the fans. I didn’t come to that page until after I’d mounted it. It only cost me a few minutes. Definitely advise this unit for helping air flow in heat around absorption refrigerators.

Nice
It worked great and fixed a Norcold fridge in a 2018 Lance travel trailer. It had an upper and lower side wall vent but no roof vent. The fridge was equipped with a tiny little fan but it was not up to the task. This kit solved the overheating issue and the fridge works fine now in hot weather. This would be a much better value if it cost half as much. You don't get much for the price but it does work. The lifetime warranty could be very nice if the kit ever fails. Overall it is a good kit just a little pricey.

Quality product, works well, easy installation
I bought this fan to maximize our RV absorption fridge. It’s well built and moves a lot of air. Installation instructions are clear and straightforward, it fits perfectly in the roof vent and the fridge is noticeably more efficient. GREAT customer service, responded to a question I had within 12 hours. The unit is easy to use I like the “auto” feature that will assist in getting rid of the hot air to increase efficiency.

Well worth the money
I bought this unit because my refrigerator stopped working during a trip to south Florida last August. It was hot enough outside that the air behind the refrigerator just didn't move, so the coils stayed hot. I ordered this just before our trip this August, but didn't have time to install it before we left. When we got to Florida, it was 100+ degrees and the refrigerator stopped working after a day. I installed this the next morning, and right away the refrigerator cooled down and worked the way it should. This is really easy to install because it's so well thought out. It's really well made, and made in the USA...the fans, control panel, and wiring seem robust and the control panel gives you lots of options for how you want it to operate. I'm definitely happy with this fan setup.

High quality product & support
This is the writeup I posted on FB: The problem is, there is nothing but convective circulation in the inside as well as the outer, hot heat exchanger. Even worse when operating in the heat of a warm day with the sun aggravating it worse - especially with a black upper weather cover, and/or if you park with the frig side towards the sun. I had noticed the freezer struggling to be cold enough - as well as the main frig running too warm. Ice cream way too soft. Ordered these fans - arrived; obvious quality design & manufacture! I installed their evaporator internal fans inside the main frig to circulate air over the evaporator fins, and these above the back heat exchanger. I paid a little more for the back fans, for their sealed bearings, waterproof, US made & lifetime warranty. The inside fans, same company & quality, were easy to install, with 4 alligator clips that clamp onto the fins. Wired it to the frig light power supply. These outside fans; I had to increase the 3 wires length a couple feet to reach to the top (covered by 1/4" ID split wire loom), under the weather cover - works better to suck the air out than push it, per the comments I read on youtube. Take care not to route the wires too close to the gas flame chimney. I also installed the control panel inside using Velcro, instead of inside the back cover, for easy access. I didn't have to drill any holes as the hole needed (to reach wires from the back to the control panel inside), already there. Power for the outside fans, easy access inside the back cover. I also installed an indoor/outdoor thermometer to monitor the result. Result - the freezer is consistently about -2°. Now the ice cream gets so hard, I need to soften it some in the microwave to make scooping it easier. Main frig, about 34°. Regardless of running on gas or electric, or ambient temp. I installed the dual fan on top of the bug screen frame, right below the weather cover. Secured it with 4 medium sized nylon wire ties. Suspended the temp sensor immediately above the upper heat exchanger fins using an extra-large wire tie (the size LEO's use for handcuffs). The docs were missing from my pkg. Contacted Beech Lane - Jack got back right away with the link to the docs. Also said they will add a couple feet to the wires to address situations like mine. Great TS as well as products!

Tremendous improvement with excellent customer support!
Performance of this Beech Lane 12v fan system is awesome. My Dometic fridge was losing the battle with its noisy 4-1/2 inch fan in 90° heat. I pulled the fridge to access the fan, thinking I would need to replace it. Turns out the fan was OK but just filthy, and it was noisy because of the solid mounting to the fridge. After cleaning the fan and cooling unit, I put this new fan system in the roof vent to supplement the small stock fan. Made a removable screened fan frame to protect the fans from critters, and maintain the clearance under the vent cap. Added a remote “on-off-auto” switch for the stock fan to use it now as a backup, and a digital temp display for the area behind the fridge with its sensor at the same location as the fan sensors. Tested the system today at 97° outside air temp (OAT). With the fridge at setting 2 (of 5), with the small Dometic fan turned OFF, and the Beech Lane remote at its 90 degree AUTO setting, the fridge inside temp kept at 35°, and the freezer temp at zero with fans barely running! The area behind the fridge stayed around 104. And as the OAT increased, the fan speed gradually increased. Even at MANUAL high speed, I can barely hear these new fans running. Outstanding! To avoid pulling the fridge, I could have just spliced an on-off switch in the red 12v “fan signal” lead from the circuit board to turn the noisy fan off, and use the new fans. I would have done that had I known there was no hope of quieting that fan. But I think I gained some cooling efficiency by cleaning up back there, and improving the baffling to smooth airflow. Beech Lane customer support is absolutely top drawer! They resolved a minor issue immediately, and went above and beyond. It was a pleasure working with them. Pays to shop USA!!
