If you're in it for the macros and the protein, this is the best choice on the market. But Biltong is NOT exactly jerky.It's yummy, but at the same time it's still a bit of an acquired taste. The Peri Peri flavor is (in my opinion) a bit more approachable than the original flavor for those with a more western palate. Chuck it in the fridge, work your way through it an ounce at a time. It really does work at adding flavor and body to sandwiches, salads, soups and whatever. Especially the little bits at the bottom of the bag.I don't swear by the stuff or live off it, but it's the best at doing what it does. Easy 5 stars.

Every single bite reduces down to an unyielding mass of collagenous material. With my typical jerky this happens maybe one bite in every ten. The product itself is in the form of small tattered pieces, not nearly as large or intact as the pictures on here suggest. It does not taste bad.

Buyer beware, you won’t be able to keep your hands out of the bag. This is an amazing snack that compliments just about anything. Put it on top of salads, grab a handful for quick snack, one of my favorite ways to enjoy Biltong is by adding it to a cup of bone broth. Doesn’t matter if the broth is beef or chicken, just add a handful and you got yourself a solid meal. If you’re watching calories and looking for a quick meal, grab a cup of broth and drop some peri peri in - you’re welcome...

While traveling through South Africa a few years ago, I got to try the amazing snack Biltong during a safari ride. I instantly became hooked and couldn't wait to purchase. Unfortunalty, I was not able to bring it back with me to the US. You can imagine my excitement when I saw an ad on Instagram for Brooklyn Biltong! It was ordered through prime within minutes. I cracked the bag open as soon as it was delivered and it didn't disappoint! The flavors are spot on and brought me back to my wonderful travels through SA. I've gotten my boyfriend hooked on it as well! Can't wait to try the other flavors!

This is my 2nd bag of biltong from these guys. Both taste good, however, the meat itself is very stringy/shredded, dry, powdery. Nothing like the clean chewy slices they show in the pictures. It's like someone took dry jerky and pulsed it in a food processor or something.I thought I may have got a bad batch in the first one, so ordered a 2nd ... nope, same thing. Bummer, because I really wanted to like it, but as it is, I'll look elsewhere.edit: Wanted to let everyone know that this was bad batch. Seller sent me a replacement bag that was much more as expected. Clean chunks, not all crumbled up. good product, will buy again!

The bag states (it's a little spicy). However, this is definitely more than a little spicy, but oh so good. If you don't like your biltong to bite, beware. The biltong I received had just the right amount of tenderness, and was fresh. I've ordered from this company before and never had a problem.

It's ok, but I was disappointed to learn that there is no peri-peri pepper in this peri-peri flavored biltong instead, it's just Cayenne. Also, I'm used to biltong being distinct slices that are a little more moist and have a little bit of "chew". This stuff is very dry, and broken up almost to the point that it's powdery. I don't think I would buy it again.
