GREAT BAG!
What a nice surprise this was. It didn't have many reviews but people seemed to like it and they were right. I have not used this in my pack yet but I did fill it with water and put a little weight on it to see if the water might leak out the top where the slide opening is. Happy to report No Leaks :)Everything about it screams quality to me. I'm no bladder fanatic but it just seems really well made and I imagine it will hold up for a very long time.I like that it had two openings, the slide makes it super easy to clean. The hose disconnects from the bag, and you can even do it with water in the bag and it won't empty the bag. The hose is insulated and has a cap on the end, the cap it connected so it wont get lost. The bite valve has a lock that probably helps it not to drip or leak, it took me a few minutes to figure out why I couldn't get any water out :) My last one didn't have that feature. And lastly the hose is a bigger diameter than "normal". I bought an inline filter for the hose and had a little trouble getting it to fit because of the size difference but my husband did a nice job with some small wire and shrink tubing, looks like it came that way.I would not hesitate buying another one.

A nice bladder at a good price. I have two. No complaints.
A nice large bladder at a good price. There seem to be a bunch of brands selling basically this identical bladder here on Amazon. I bought one about a year ago for my own backpack. So this year when I bought my 19 year old son a backpack, I went with the same solution. What I like about it.....1.) Price.2.) Capacity, 3 liters is nice when you need it but you can always load it with less if you don't need it.3.) Easy to clean and made from anti-bacterial material.4.) Easy to fill from the top or the screw on cover.5.) The threads for the screw cap are the same as a Nalgene bottle. That means my First Needs XLE Elite water filter screws directly onto the bladder and I can fill it without assistance by quickly pumping 3 liters straight into the bladder. Important when you're solo hiking. Much less swearing.6.) It doesn't leak.7.) The drinking tube is nice. Connects and disconnects easily. Is insulated. Long enough for my 110 liter backpack. Bite valve works effortlessly. And it comes with a dust cover to keep it clean.8.) Durability seems pretty good. It's not delicate. All in all, I like it because it does its job and doesn't demand a lot of special care and handling. For all of its specialized water carrying ability it's about as easy to use as a simple Nalgene bottle. I like stuff that doesn't demand a lot of time and effort on the trail.

Almost as good as the bladder I was born with.
Excellent bladder. I've been using mine at least every other day since it came a couple weeks ago and it's great.I've got an old Walmart hydration pack I carry it in (it's like small/medium day hiking pack size), this bladder is on the large size so if your pack is tiny, it might be a stretch. It's gone on a 15 mile walk, 16 mile bike ride and numerous other shorter walks and rides.I really love the capacity, I can go on walks or rides without worrying about running out of water. (Recently ran out on a strenuous 7 mile hike and had to drink out of a couple mountain streams to make it home so. . . Water is good.)Bite valve has a push lock and cover, took a trip or two to get used to but it's nice once you're used to itPack seems fairly sturdy no leaks yet. Not terribly weighty, maybe 6-7 lbs full (water is 8 lbs and some change per gallon, pack is about 3/4 gallon).Wouldn't at all be opposed to buying this pack again. Really nice to not fight with losing a bottle on a bike ride and just be able to drop the bite valve and go. Wife might be getting one if her 2 liter one dies.If it matters, I'm like 6'1" 230 and my wife is 5'9" 180 so while the extra weight is negligible for folks our size, this pack is typically sufficient even for the hydration needs of larger folksbtw, nobody compensated me nothing for this review. I bought the bladder myself and reviewed it because I'm pretty happy with the product.

so good. It took a few minutes to figure out ...
So far, so good. It took a few minutes to figure out how to remove the top portion for cleaning but once I figured it out it was easy. Then the first time I used the bladder it leaked quite a bit - but it was because I didn't have the attachment on the lower part of the hydration hose completely locked in. It would have been really helpful if there had been brief instructions. The first time I used it on a hike it seemed like it took a lot of effort to get a drink from it but then I noticed that you have to bite down a bit to increase the flow. But overall it works really well.

Best quality and value in the market.
This is a great hydration bladder, far better than the popular brands and far less expensive. My wife and I just completed 4 days of backpacking in Death Valley, a place of beauty, extremes, danger from exposure, and geological anomalies. Our 3 L bladders worked flawlessly. The tubes and nipples are rugged. The nipples have sturdy covers that protected them from dust that strong winds constantly whipped up from the desert floor. The tubes are protected by a fabric covering that insulates them from damage and extreme temperatures - the heat at or below sea level and the frozen winds 11,000 feet above sea level. The bladders themselves are strong, and the water they store remains tasting like water, not plastic. They are easy to clean because the tops have a sliding bracket that is easily removed to fully open the bladder for thorough washing and rapid drying, without special tools and brushes required by the popular brands. This was one of the best purchases I have ever made in terms of quality and value, and I've been around for 65 years.
