Light and tough
I'm using it as a footprint to protect my ultralight bivy sack. It's just the right size and weighs almost nothing.

Perfect for my needs
I wanted a lightweight, compact footprint for my tent for taking on a plane to tent camp at various locations. The loops were perfect for staking it down. I only wish I had bought a second one for a cook tarp. The material likes to adhere to itself. There is a more rubberized/plasticized water repellent side, so you should put that on the ground size or the sky side, depending on your use. I hope to use it again in the future for backpacking or car camping. It folds into the bag provided.

Very Durable and lightweight
Great product. I’ve used this footprint many times this summer with my 2 person Mountainsmith tent with no complaints it’s very durable and folds up into a nice little pouch which it comes in. Great for backpacking, kayaking or just camping. I was so impressed, I bought another one for a different tent that I have, and have had no problems. Excellent footprint!

Stake loop ripped first time using
When this lightweight tarp arrived I was so disappointed I had recently spent nearly 4x what I did on this for a groundsheet to match my BA tent. The material is lightweight and it appeared well constructed. We used it 1 time at a concert which was awesome because it fit in my pocket and then we tossed it out for a place to sit when we found our spot. The second time I used it was on grass on some mountain property. I staked off all 4 corners to serve as a ground sheet behind our SUV (and underneath the tailgate) since the grass was covered in dew. Around lunch time I realized that the tarp was flapping in the wind and I thought it had come unhooked from the stake but I walked over and the loop had ripped off and separated from the tarp itself. So now the tarp i largely useless unless you want to put a weight on the corner that is ripped. Two uses and its broken? Not a very good tarp.

Would make a decent footprint if they could ship the right size
I ordered the 2'4" x 6'11" tarp to use as a footprint for my MSR mesh house 1. The dimensions are perfect and the claimed weight is lighter than MSR's footprint. When the package arrived I could tell it was heavier than the claimed weight, I took the tarp out and it turned out the be the large size 8'6" by 6'11" . The tarp itself looked pretty good and is lightweight for it's size and it's a pain to return stuff so I decided to keep it an order another 2'4" x 6'11" .I bet you can't guess what happened... I received another 8'6" by 6'11". At this point I will probably return both as I already have a lightweight, higher quality tarp of a similar size and didn't need one let alone two 8'6" by 6'11" tarps and buy the MSR footprint. Overall wasted a bunch of my time. I like Geertop and what they are trying to do but this experience has been disappointing.Product itself seems decent as a groundsheet/footprint, somewhat limited as a shelter due to the lack of tie outs, Geertop should make a version with more tie outs. Not sure you could find a lighter weight tarp of similar size and price.Advice to Geertop, add more tie outs to the larger tarps so they have more utility and get your products set up so the customer receives what they order.

Great!
Went on a 3 day hike up in the high Sierras and it worked great with my mid. Didn't tear and is still in great condition.

Used and approved!
This lightweight tent footprint literally disappears in your backpack. This is the smallest tent footprint package I've ever seen, It is amazing for backpacking or light camping. It did it's job on the first night of use when it rained on me during a backpacking trip in Northern Wisconsin. Kept the bottom of my tent dry, and stayed in place perfectly during the windy moments. Not entirely sure about durability rating vs. what it actually is, but the ground I was on was littered with small twigs or pieces of bark, etc. and the footprint handled it well, no tears or marks on it, nothing.

Fits Alps Mountaineering tent perfectly
Perfect fit for Alps Mountaineering Chaos 2 tent. Very lightweight but durable. Wish they made one the size of my Big Agnes solo tent but alas they don't so I was forced to buy the expensive footprint that matches that tent :(

Pretty impressive at holding water
Bought it to act as a sun shade, tethered between a few posts. Works great. What I forgot to think about was when it rained, as i had it entirely level, not sloped.. i kinda figured water would drip through the material. nope! quite incredible :-D the fabric held the entire contents of a storm, creating a huge sagging balloon of water, without leaking! it actually contained gallons and gallons of waterCouldn't believe it! It stretched the material something awful, but after drying its shrunk mostly back to the way it was, to a reasonable extent. So - if you use it for more normal use-cases e.g. as an angled shelter, or ground sheet, i fully expect it to be waterproof and durable.. as it managed to hold such a huge amount of water accidentally!

It is ultralight, ground sheet use only, easy to use. It's good.
Absolutely ultralight. Fits perfectly under an Overmont tent and stretchy pulls also fit perfectly on the pegs or poles. Shiney side is more water resistant. Easy to stuff in its bag. Well thought out product. Used on hard forest ground. Seems durable but maybe something sharp like a rock could slice it... but are you going to sleep on sharp or pointy surfaces... probably not. I think it's too small to use as a tarp and there are no guy ropes or pegs included... It is a ground sheet, pure and simple. Can use to cover stuff to protect from rain. No one asked me to write the review.

Ultralight, ultra-handy.
I bought the 210x140 version as a footprint for my NatureHike 2-man tent , and I keep it in place with a four plastic OLPro Plastic "Mushroom" Pegs . As an side I recommend both the tent and the pegs. For my tent the size is perfect. The material is 101% waterproof but there is no insulation effect. I bought and use it for two reasons: first to protect the base of my tent (a worn or torn footprint is cheaper to replace than the tent), and secondly to protect the groundsheet from mud and the resulting smell. And it really works. After camping on wet mud I bring the tent into the house and there's no smell or mess, I just dry the tent out. The footprint I take into the bathroom, run a shallow bath of cold water, wash the footprint (no detergent) then let it hang to dry which it does quickly. The stuff-sack is small and lightweight, but the footprint fits into it perfectly, with room to spare even.As one reviewer mentions, the cloth is VERY thin, as you would expect from ULTRA-light.Measured weight including stuff sack: 161 grams NatureHike 2-man tentOLPro Plastic "Mushroom" Pegs

Love it
Use it for walks / camping.Spot on ground sheet for my msr hubba hubba tent.Great for putting down on wet ground when you want to chill and have some lunch.Got caught out in a massive down poor in some woodlands. Just threw it over a branch and used it as a tarp with some Gide ropes to stay dry while I had lunch

It worked great on soaked wet grounds
Very lightweight, compact and waterproof as advertised. It worked really well as a groundsheet under my tent in soaked wet grounds. It protected the tent floor from getting water in and also kept it clean. It took only a few minutes to dry and repack again. So I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't make any difference in terms of temperature, but I wasn't expecting it anyway as it's not advertised as insulated.
