I purchased the ABCCANOPY Photography Sandbags to add stability to my light stands and tripods, and I couldn’t be happier with the quality and performance. The sandbags seem to be well made, heavy-duty and solid. The plastic bags included are handy enough, it saves me from providing my own gallon sized freezer zip-lock bags. The provided carabiners are marginal at best, but the bags go over light stand legs, so no big deal there. For the price, these are a good bargain.

It sounds like overkill but, figuring out the correct method for using these they work great. Sand, too messy especially if they leak at a customer location. Water, you are guaranteed never to get a call back. Stones, only if you have excellent insurance to cover the back surgery. I found a solution, came back to Amazon and purchased industrial zip lock plastic bags, a vacuum sealer and after that, I am off to the races. When you consider one of your strobes, a softbox and goodness knows what else you are going to damage, sandbags are a no brainer. I used them at the base of lightstands, as a counter balance with large softboxes and to stabilize tripods with outdoors and trying to minimize camera shake on a critical shoot. Pay particular attention to the seams and the construction. These are not US manufactured so, quality control is not consistent. For the price, I would buy again.

quality ... perfect to carry where needed

These weight bags work great. Made of a sturdy canvas with separate plastic Ziploc bag liners. I was able to add 5lbs of sand to each bag to make a 10 lbs weight. Easy to use.

These work great, but they didn’t come with the plastic sealable bags as advertised in the description and pictures. Bags still work great, but be aware of this is you are intending on using these with sand.

These are very easy to fill and seem like they’re going to stand up to multiple uses. We filled with P gravel instead of sand so they really hold down our rugs, walk camping and keeps our star link from tipping over.
