Purchased for use with a Synology NAS. Easy to place the drive and they work great. All the hardware you need is included. Very versatile.

A small design fix would make this perfect. A spring-loaded plate should push the SSD towards the connector, making the assembly screw-less, fast and easy. Luckily, screws are provided, so the assembly was quick and easy. The box fit perfectly into the bay and the SSD seems happy in its new home. The casing is made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), which is a thermal insulator and has extremely low heat‑transfer capability. It has 1000x worse thermal conductivity than aluminum. So, your SSD is in a oven. Keep that in mind and make sure you provide some sort of heat dissipation!

I didn't read the description that says they are ABS, from the pics I though it was aluminum. lol, my fault. I'm using them for SSD's so the plastic is fine, but if I was using them for spinning metal 2.5" drives I would prefer to get aluminum adapters for additional thermal dissipation. But

Allowed easy replacement of my failed hard drive to an SSD in my PC. Worked flawlessly to reattach to the same mounting points inside the case. The picture is a little misleading. I thought from the shape along the edges that it also provided a passive heat sink, however the case is a sturdy plastic.

I used this converter to fit a smaller SSD into a HDD slot in my older desktop. Everything fit perfectly and I had no issues mounting the drive. I appreciate it came with it's own hardware as well. Everything was easy to snap together and I had it installed in no time!

Does the job as it's supposed to. The frame has heat dissipation grooves in it. Some spinning HDD might be beter off with them. Though the product doesn't advertise classic HDDs, they will work all the same. 2.5 SATA SSDs usually heat much, much less than their nVME counterparts, but some cooling never hurts. Good adapter.

Ordered this at the same time as my SSD replacement for my failing HDD. Set up was real easy.

Ideal for replacing the old 3.5"HDD in a computer with a new 2.5" HDD where the hard drive needs to be exactly the same size as a 3'5" drive. This may be the case where the drive plugs directly into computers mainboard without a cable, such as laptop or "all in one" PC such as the older HP Smart Touch. Good quality unit with all necessary screws.
