I love everything Levels makes, I take in a ton of their grass fed whey protein. This chocolate flavor doesn't taste overwhelmingly sweet, or have a fake tasting chocolate flavor. From a flavor profile, I don't think anyone can beat Levels if you hate artificial sweeteners. The only complaint I have is Casein in general makes protein shakes EXTREMELY thick. So if you're looking to have one, double up on the liquid and maybe don't add too many other ingredients. Otherwise, it tastes good and the macros are right.

I used to buy a very expensive protein shake mix that we really liked, problem was, it was triple the price of this product. I have been searching for a clean protein shake mix that is not gritty and doesn't have all the "junk" in it. Guess what, I found it! It's not only made with clean ingredients, but it's also smooth and delicious! I liked the chocolate so much, that I just ordered the vanilla. If you want a clean, smooth and delicious protein mix, this is it. Highly recommended, and I'm picky!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience left me shocked and frankly disgusted.I bought Levels 100% Micellar Casein Protein expecting a clean, quality product. What I got instead was a container with a long hair embedded inside the powder. Yes, a human hair. Sealed, unopened, and sitting right there in the protein I was supposed to consume.Mistakes can happen, but what followed was even worse. I emailed Levels directly with a clear photo of the hair, my order info, and a polite message asking for a response. It's been over two weeks—no reply, no apology, no ownership. Just complete silence.For a company that claims to value quality and transparency, this is a joke. Contaminated product and zero accountability? I don’t know what’s worse—the fact that a hair made it into the final packaging, or the fact that nobody at Levels seems to care once you point it out.I’ll be warning others about this until someone from the company has the decency to respond. This isn’t just a bad experience—it’s a complete breakdown in trust.

I've been using Casien powder for the past year or so after switching from Whey protein. After ready multiple studies about metals and other items of concern being found in many protein powders, I have been searching for a brand focused on being a bit 'cleaner.' I even thought that going to one of the organic based powders would be better until I read a Consumer Reports study that said one of the popular brands was one of the worst in terms of contaminants. Digestion was another concern from reviews on many of the other powders.In a Tonal facebook group, someone recommended Levels Casien powder as a much more natural and 'cleaner' option. After reading reviews and a few studies on this one, I found it was one of the cleanest powders available. So a few months and containers in I can say the taste is great (for a protein powder anyway), it mixes very smooth in a shaker with almond milk under minimal effort, and digests very easily.Overall, very happy to just happen to see this brand recommended and happy with the results! This stuff seems to be a good deal to me. Cost was in line or better than my other Casein Protein options, and as long as you believe the packaging/claims pretty good ingredient quality.The flavor is notable a slightly chaulky chocolate milkshake. The chaulky-ness and not super strength of Chocolate make me wish I could do half stars on the Flavor (as in 4.5/5), because let's be frank there's always some downgrade in flavor on a protein shake. But realistically it tastes better than many (maybe even most) others.Similarly, I wish I could deduct only a half star from the overall rating, because the only thing I really am not fond of so far is the sort of "Foam" level after shaking it up. This stuff foams up big time in my shaker, and I find myself going back to the cup just for what's left of the foamy portion for quite a while after. But that's a minor issue, and easily solvable with a quick rinse of water on the last sips.Overall the stuff is great though. And I'll admit I have a soft spot for the Highland Cow on the packaging, lol.
