I actually didn't know it would come scented, but mine came strawberry scented, it smells really good, has a really good hold. I have sent derm and I have used this edge control before so I doubled back because it doesn't really flare me up bad, and I want to use it on my edges and to practice knotless. You don't need a lot just a tiny bit and it slicks the edges down really well and doesn't budge much. I have 4b hair, my edges are probably closer to 4c maybe? I just brush them out and apply product and manipulate edges with a edge brush

I’ve used this Goiple edge control for a while now, and it really does what it claims. It has a strong hold without turning hard or flaky, and it keeps my edges laid all day. I like that it’s not greasy and it doesn’t leave that white residue some gels do. The texture is smooth, it spreads easily, and a little goes a long way. Currently going back natural from a relaxed hair so I was seeking out edge controls that was strong enough to hold my natural hair and so far this has been doing the job pretty well. Not bad for the price I can tell you that much

Is there an unscented version?? Used this for the first time yesterday and I was immediately upset. I didn't realize it was "strawberry" scented. Admittedly, that was an oversight on my part, I hadn't read the title well enough to notice (although I had never heard of a fruit scented edge gel beforehand). I mistakenly used it across the whole top of my hair because it was really frizzy *instead of just my edges, then walked around smellin like an oversized strawberry chapstick for the rest of the day. It was so bad that I had to wear my bonnet to sleep last night just so I didn't get the smell on my pillow/face. I'm smellin hints of it now as I'm typing this review, almost 24hrs later. Now I gotta go wash my hair. It sucks, cause it seemed to actually work for me. I've been lookin for a good edge control for a while now. My natural hair is pretty unruly, so I haven't been able to wear nice, slick styles anymore. I might just use it on my edges... and only my edges. If I can stand the smell. Would be nice if they had an unscented one. I looked but I didn't see one.

It was my first time purchasing and trying this edge control and I absolutely love it. Keeps my kids hair in place all day while they’re in school. No white flakes. Literally last all day 👍🏽

When I initially used the product, it seemed like it wasn’t holding as well as before. However, when I used it again the next day, it held just like it used to. I had to come back and update my review because I’m very happy that the product seems to be the same great quality. Repeat customer!

This edge control has a strong hold. I use it to slick my hair back. I can wrap my head before bed wake up with my hair in one place. However, the texture of your hair is hard, like gel. If you reapply in the morning for some of the fly aways from sleeping at night, I’d recommend wetting your brush first and hit all the areas you want to retouch before reapplying a small amount. I like the olive edge control as it leaves the texture of my hair in a more natural finish. But during the summer months or working out. This stuff is way better as your hair will not move!
