which colors are needed for this model?

Depending on which of the three color schemes that come in the kit will determine what paints you will need.  I am planning to go with scheme B of VF-2 Bounty Hunters aboard the USS Enterprise in 1976.  I will give you the list of paints that Tamiya recomends for the kit.  These are all Tamiya paints.
