Works great if you know one key fact
I was disappointed at first because people reported that my voice wasn't coming through very well. But then, I realized that the microphone is directional and it wasn't pointed to my mouth! If you gently squeeze the foam covering, you can feel the microphone inside. It's shaped like a hockey puck. One specific side of the puck should be directed to your mouth.I experimented with Skype's Echo Call testing service and after listening to my own voice, it was easy to determine that the hockey puck was facing the wrong way! I just twisted it around to face my mouth and viola! To ensure it doesn't happen again, I took a silver colored sharpie and marked on the mic a point that should face my mouth. Easy to tell by inspection if it is in the right orientation.

Sounds good, but can be frustrating to use
Got this mic once I was working from home, and overall it works well enough. Co-workers commented that I definitely sounded better and could hear less background noice than when I used the built-in mic on my Bose QC35s. Biggest frustration is that it doesn't stay plugged in to the headphones very well, so if my arm bumps the cord, it just pops right out. The cord could also be a little longer, which I think might help prevent accidentally unplugging it. I want to like this more but the frequent unplugging is just too frustrating

[UPDATED] Loose fit with the QC35 causes audio dropping
This is a tentative review. I just initiated a return and I'm waiting to hear back from customer service, so will update once I hear more.I bought this for gaming with my Bose QC35 headphones. Product seemed to be in good condition out of the box. As soon as I plugged it in, I only got audio on the left side. It was very clear audio, but I expected to hear audio in both ears. Additionally, after further testing and troubleshooting, it looks like there's no microphone as well. No matter how much I amp up the gain or speak louder, neither my computer or phone register anything from me.[UPDATE - 2 stars instead of 1] Headset Buddy customer service was pretty good. They clarified whether the mic was plugged in all the way, which was a little bit annoying to waste a back-and-forth on something silly, but I understand. They sent a replacement once we established it wasn't user error. The replacement works - sorta. Because of how it plugs in and the amount of weight, the mic swivels around easily when it's plugged in. This means wear on the audio contacts. Additionally, it fits a little loose. After 2 days of use, the right-channel audio dropped out and required me to wiggle the boom a little to ensure contact. I like the concept, but the execution isn't there. I'm looking at spending $30 on the Bose QC25 mic cable or forking over big money for the nflightmic.[2nd UPDATE[ Back down to 1 star - Right channel only works half the time, and I haven't even had it for a week. It's ridiculous for something that costs $30.

Turned my Bose QC-35 into the best office headphones
I was not using my Bose QC-35s very often as I preferred the size of airpods and they provided enough noise cancelling for a flight, train, etc. However, I didn't have a bluetooth connection to my work computer and desperately needed a headset for Zoom calls that would cancel out all the noise from around the office. Headset buddy turned my Bose QC-35s into the perfect solution. I bought a splitter so that the headphones can be plugged into both the headphone and mic jack of my computer and now I can take calls and it sounds like I am the only person in the office. I have asked how I sound and everyone says it sounds great. Such a better solution than spending hundreds of dollars on a dedicated computer headset.

Great addition to a great set of headphones
This is a good addition to the terrific Bose headphones and adds a microphone to a receive-only headset. It works very well, has excellent sound quality (though there is no "sidetone" - the audio is not fed back to the headphone speakers so you can hear how loud you are speaking). My only complaints are that the microphone boom is a little "floppy" - meaning it is easily bumped out of place, and the cable is cloth-covered and makes noise when it rubs over your clothing. Other than that, this is a very useful mic.

Maybe it's meant for phones?
This thing sounds great plugged into my iphone but terrible on my PC which is unfortunately the reason I bought it. There's a very audible buzz when plugged into the pc that even my best sound card's noise reduction can't seem to get rid of. I've tried plugging it into the motherboard's inputs, the Soundblaster AE 5 that I have installed into the same PC as well as an external dac (sound blaster G3) and the buzz is present in all of them. As an additional measure I even tried plugging it into an xbox elite controller but then I only got sound through one ear with low volume so I wonder if the bar's on the 3.5 end are soldered for mfi devices.Anyway the purchase was a bust and I don't recommend it for anything but a phone or tablet.

Works perfectly but you may need an adapter
Wanted to use my QC35 for work and gaming and decided to get a mic boom instead of an entirely new headset from work. I’m so happy I found these, it works perfectly. My laptop and pc didn’t have a dual mic/headphone port so I had to buy a 3.5mm to USB adapter. I think it makes it look cooler and more versatile lol. Sound quality is very good and it looks great for these headphones. These truly add more years of use to your headphones!

Nice Mic
I wanted to try this microphone for my Bose QC35 headset, and for me it did not disappoint. Every once in a blue moon, I have to adjust the microphone so there's no extra emphasis on 'P' sounds or 'B' sounds (although this is merely an adjustment that occurs approximately once every 10 uses or so for me, so this really isn't a major deal). All in all, this mic is perfect for various multimedia uses (e.g., video conferencing, voice recording, etc.).If I could, I would provide a rating of more than 5 stars for this product!

Funktioniert kaum

Earned a spot in my travel bag
So far it's been great. I've tested the mic on video calls with my MacBook in a loud coffee shop, as well as outdoors near a busy road, and callers said I sounded great. The noise isolation is not magic - they could still tell I was in a noisy environment - but by and large they said the background was not a distraction. The isolation is certainly leaps and bounds better than the built in mic in both the Bose, the MacBook itself, or a generic pair of headphones. Also, the mic itself is compact enough to fit in the Bose cary case, and it's reasonably small and discrete when worn. You'll still look like a nerd wearing a boom mic in the United lounge, but you'll be a productive nerd. This has earned a spot in my travel bag!

It's expensive for what it is, but in my opinion it's worth it
Awesome, works perfectly, i spend many hours per day on Skype with clients and colleagues and sound is crystal clear and it fits nicely in the BOSE case. The boom is perfectly positional and doesn't kink straightens like it's never been bent. It's expensive for what it is, but in my opinion it's worth it
