Evans Calftone Bass Drum Head, 20"

Even though these Calftone heads are designed to emulate the old calfskin heads from the past for playing jazz, I put this on a 22” bass drum that gave me that low pitched “hit them in the chest” kind of tone I was looking for. Great sound at a great price! Rock on!

Your kick sounds like garbage, because you haven’t ordered one of the yet. I especially like how there is no port. Very nice thick sound that isn’t overpowering like a giant ported clear head. This head thumps. Best for gospel, jazz and all alike genres, and anyone into lofi styles of drumming.

Ordered this 26” Evans Calftone head for the front of my ‘46 Slingerland Radio King. I needed a replacement for the original calf skin head. (I’m replacing all the original heads to save them). The price was very good compared to the local drum shops and GCs here in L.A. ordering again for sure.

Used this on the resonant side of an SPL birch bop kit.I used a felt strip on both sides.Great jazz/ bop sound with depth,not overly resonant.

Great sound great fit great durablilty but the tackiest logo in the world goes to Evans why in the world would you put a logo in the first place on a bass drum either way some paint thinner later and some elbow grease will get you an amazing look and sound I used goof off pro strength. Go easy on it if you plan to do this time is the best tool.
