Do all the features of the mic work when taking a video with it?

Has anyone used this to try and capture loud live performances? does it handle very loud music well with the compressor in the app? thanks!

Yes you can tape concerts with it. Loud arena shows are usually about a recording level of 13.5db- 12 for SUPER loud . you adjust recording level in the shure app.

Can this be used with an extension cord so that it is not attched to the iPhone? Which cord?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a longer lightning cable I can use with this mic? I want to pick up audio from a bit further away from my iPad.

The MV88+ needs phantom power from the iPhone. Only the OEM cable replacement worked for me.
