Beautifully accurate to history. Worth every penny.

I liked the price ,around $50 was good for what I got.Been looking for a ww2 German canteen for awhile now since mine bit the dust at a reenactment.Got this delivered today and was delighted with the construction of it,was expecting much worse.That being said the leather is not top notch but doable for now,the bottle didn’t have a rubber gasket in the cap so you might need to cut some rubber off some thing and make your own so it will seal.

Works very well and well made.

Overall it is great for the price. The cover is the wrong color, originals were a brownish shade.

Decent canteen for display but the inside has a rancid smell akin to stale machining fluid. I washed it multiple times but the smell always returns, Even going so far as to leave it overnight full of mouthwash but even that doesn't work for long. The cup and strap are decent but I would not recommend buying this if you plan to drink from it. Also an important note that if you are building a WW2 German impression the canteen covers are brown, Not Grey. If you wear this to a reenactment you will be torn apart by stitch nazis and forced to spend an additional $30 for the correct cover.

Just as advertised, my German gf is sure to love this for our camping trips!

Usable. Just make sure you rinse the inside first before use for obvious things like factory chems. I don't know it's sturdiness since i take care of it and not be carelessly clumsy with it. I will say the cap is rather uncomfortable to use at times because the texture is pretty rough so it will dig into my fingers sensitive skin. Other than that, it's usable and good.

DON NOT drink from this bottle! Upon arrival of was odly heavy. The bottle had the consistency of lead and could write on paper. This bottle is made of LEAD is is not safe for drinking!
