I see that it says it contains the cones and the scooper, but does it also include the sugar for making the cotton candy?

We had to buy the sugar separately. Although you can just put in hard pieces hard candy and it will spin it into cotton candy. Like we put in a peppermint. Hope this helps.

Just received in the mail.....The box was open and there are no instructions. Are there supposed to be instructions? If there are, what are they?

Can I make my own colored sugar for use in this machine? Will it still come out nice and fluffy? I want to make with out dyes or preservatives.

I don't know. Perhaps you can. I used a professional machine years ago and we used regular sugar and added powdered flavoring. You cannot flavor your sugar with a liquid and have it work
