I bought this knife four years ago. I do not take care of it, throw it in the sink, into the dishwasher, etc. etc. -the knife is still as sharp today as it was four years ago and I’m here writing the review because I’m buying another one today for my son. Do Not hesitate on this particular knife. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Beautifully designed cutlery that is functional comfortable and extremely sharp. The box it comes in is as nice of a box as you could put something in beautifully crafted with a sheath and a metal Dalstrong pin so if you’re giving this as a gift it’s perfect. I already purchased zwilling pros that were made in Germany and while I love them they just were two classic looking…. they look like every other knife in every kitchen across America and I wanted something more modern and different and these certainly fit the bill. The quality is just about as good but they are half the price with a lifetime warranty. They are 20 to 30% sharper and more comfortable and lighter. Pros: modern design. It seriously looks like a stealth fighter landed on your counter top. Definitely a conversation piece one guess come over. Extremely sharp out of the box Well balanced Light but not “cheap” feeling Extremely comfortable in the hand actually the most comfortable kitchen knife I have ever held. While I’m not a professional cook I’m a long time knife collector and these knives are beautiful and functional and extremely comfortable. All the handles are the same size whether you have a pairing knife or their 10 1/2 inch sushi knife you can actually grip them comfortably. I am a large man at 6 foot six with large hands and what I hate about other knife sets is that the smaller knives have small teeny tiny handles to grip. That would be fine if I could put on my teeny tiny hands to use them but I can’t so they are quite useless to me. These handles are exactly the same size across-the-board which is great. Lifetime warranty Cons: Made in China. I know that they have gotten aeons better recently but usually their products typically fail a lot sooner than American made or German-made or Japanese made products…. Only time will tell. But after Reading all the reviews it seems like they have excellent customer service. The black coating looks fantastic but I’m afraid it will scratch and or wear out over time. I’ve owned some other black coated blades before and after a few months they start looking worn and pick up a few scratches. Since I just ordered these and it’s November I have until February 1, 2022 to return them so I’ll try them out for 3 months and then report back. I wanted to get the 5 pc set but they are sold out everywhere so instead I bought this universal stainless steel knife block and then stuck on their pin on it and it turned out pretty good. Bottomline: these knives are sharp figuratively and literally so just go ahead and buy them you won’t regret it. And after all what do you have to lose? It’s Amazon so you can send them back for free ….and right now you have till February 1st of next year to return them.

A chef knife that can do anything and still make you look like a boss

I bought this knife for work and so far its great, nice and light but still sturdy easy to clean and showed up sharp enough to shave with it. Only complaints is when using a pinch grip the top of the knife is pretty thin and jagged so it kind of cuts into your palm with prolonged use and when chopping vegetables they tend to stick to the blade a bit. (I know they have a separate knife for this but I got the chef knife for wide versatility) But I still find it to be an excellent knife with a nice comfortable and slick handle. Also I love the pin that came with it, very solid and satisfying weight to it. I put it on my chef jacket and it looks pretty cool compared to other pins I've had in the past.
