Edit: 1.5 year review. I have used it 50+ times, had it completely submerged while winching, had it completely submerged for long water crossings, had it packed full of mud and have done zero maintenance besides washing and cleaning it. It absolutely is rugged and dependable, and i have full confidence in it. I got the xbull on advice from a buddy who i ride with a lot. He’s had one on his trail rig for 2 years and abuses the heck out of it and it’s been flawless for him. I’ve had it on about 4 months now and have done 10 recoveries in mud, rocks, and sand, as well as pulling a dead conversion van onto a gooseneck trailer. The wireless remote works great, the line speed is a little on the slow side but no real complaints. Install was easy on my Lexus GX with a HK Off-road hidden winch bumper. I organize large group trips across Michigans UP and wanted to make sure we could always get everyone through to our remote campsites, the xbull has been great peace of mind.

I have fitted it in arb sahara bumper. It fitted well except that we have to look for a smaller head bolt as the bolt just enough to fit the guide hole. Still able to install it without washer and lock washer. I have connected all the wires cables and follow the manufacturer instruction. It went well and everything is working perfectly. The on thing i worry is the power whether it will be able to keep me unstuck when needed. Hold on i will provide more review on this winch during action. But overall so far i give 5 stars for quality easy on installation and price affordability. To follow is the performance on different situations. Thank you.

Fits (barely) inside aftermarket 2500HD winch bumper with the switch box mounted on top. It did require drilling a 2" hole in the bumper for wired controller access. Installed 300amp switch in the bumper with the winch. Downgraded one star due to wireless controller not working. Checked batteries as good, but controller does nothing. Glad I drilled the hole. Haven't used winch for recovery yet, but the clutch works, as does the winch motor, both in and out, using the wired controller.
