Great laptop, worth every penny.
This laptop is AMAZING for the price-worth every penny. It runs very smoothly, and I have yet to have any major problems with it. From what I can tell, this was a very expensive computer, lowered in price to sell out when better versions came out. It's has all sorts of great features, many not listed on the page here(Backlit keyboard, who woulda known? Turn it on with Fn+Right). I'm still discovering more things about it!Now, it won't run everything perfectly. If you wanna run Skyrim on the best graphics, you will probably need a slightly better computer, but otherwise? This computer will make the cut. A good 400-600 dollar laptop in a 300 dollar shell, how about that? The downside is the battery life. The battery lasts about 2 hours when not plugged in, making it hard to take anywhere. The charger also has occasional issues, having to be unplugged from the adapter and re-plugged in order to make it work again, signifying what I hope wont be future issues.Either way, I'm glad I bought this laptop. When my brother told me to try to find a laptop with these specs for 300, I wasn't sure it'd be even possible, but I got what I paid for.

Like New!
I bought this machine because I needed a Windows 7 laptop to run the overhead projectors at church. This machine fits the bill perfectly. The paper work states it is a Dell Finance lease return. If that is the case, it spent it's lease life sitting on a shelf in the IT department. It is in like new condition, less one tiny scratch on the case. The screen, key board and finger pad are pristine. The battery was fully charged right out on the box and the machine booted up thea fresh install of Windows 7 Professional. There is no bloatware of any kind and all WIndows updates ran with no issues. This purchase was a pleasant surprise and a great value.I would hesitate to buy another should the need arise

Perfect in every way except for battery
I need a business laptop to do work on. I need it to surf the web, check email, edit documents, and watch the occasional video.I don't need a touchscreen (get a tablet). Or a convertible (again, get a tablet!). I previously had a "modern" Windows 10 Cloudbook that I HATED (see my reviews for more details), which was so dragged down by the software as to be unusable. So I went looking specifically for a Windows 7 unit even if I had to buy it used.I found this, and it works GREAT! I haven't had any activation issues, and the thing is stable and fast for what I need it for (and I can turn off the things I don't need it for, without worrying about Redmond remotely overriding my decision). It is a bit heavier than the other unit, but I just like to think that it fits in with the "ruggedness" of the metalic case. The only downside is that I drew the short straw in the used battery contest. Whereas others report up to two days of intermittent use without recharging, I'm lucky to get two hours. So, another battery is on the way.But still, VERY happy with this.

Very dissatisfied
I bought this computer last September and I’ve only used it a handful of times because I had another computer that I used as my daily machine. The battery had virtually no life on it and I had to replace the battery. There were pretty deep scratches on the surface of it. Also, the computer shuts off every time I use it more then 15-20 minutes at a time. It will also turn on within 10-12 seconds every time I shut it down. I’ve had it longer then the guarantee, but I’ve only used it a few times and I feel like I was scammed. Very disheartening.

Solid A 👍
Wow. This PC is absolutely awesome. Remember it's really more of an office-based computer. That being said, I use it for work and for personal and it's great for both. Yes, it's a little old now, but it hardly detracts from its progress. First off, the legacy boot. The legacy boot works well without a hitch. I can run Hires for diagnosics, and of course run legacy OS like XP and 7, and of course Debian. This is big for me, as I still hate Windows 10 and am extremely privacy oriented. Next, the thing is basically modular. A couple screws here and there and bam! Swap out an HDD, or even replace the disk drive and buy the secondary hard drive bay adding additional space or another OS I have. Speed? Well it's not up to part with the newer gens obviously, but it's definitely not slow unless running up the RAM and processor to much. The latter is difficult to do as this thing is built for *some * overclocking in my opinion. One can also add two 8gb RAM sticks to get 16gb of they should wish. However, again for legacy OS, bootable diagnostics and basic office and web surfing even to video streaming and such it shouldn't be all that nessesary and one probably wouldn't really be utilizing it realistically. All in all, color me impressed. I think I have my go-to office computer line-up from now on. Solid A

But the description says like new, was received with a virtually dead battery
The computer is wicked fast and runs smooth for the price. But the description says like new, was received with a virtually dead battery, lasts about 20 mins if lucky... that is NOT like new!!! but new battery is not so expensive. BUT, seems the CMOS batter is dead too as the clock won't stay set, I have tried making sure Windows Time service is running, I have set it to various internet time sync, I have even fiddled with the BIOS clock. The deal is, when turned off, that time is what is says when I turn it back on.... in other words it is using the laptop battery not mother board (CMOS) battery to maintain the time :-( this is also NOT like new!!! and this will be a big problem for my son's gaming as we travel because Steam wont sync if clock is out of wack... Not sure I want to take it apart to change CMOS or write some code to auto-sync with WIFI when connects... both are a hassle!!summary:PROS:Very fastsmooth runningcons:all batteries are virtually dead :-(
