As the times we live in become more "interesting"...
I've ordered two sets of these at separate times and was satisfied with both. The embossing is clear to read and the material of the chain, the bumper and the tag itself seem to be good quality. As the times we live in becomes increasingly more "interesting", the idea of needing medical treatment while I'm out and about becomes a real concern as I have one of the less common blood types. I wanted a way of identifying myself and my medical needs if I were incapacitated in some manner, and dog tags of one form another have been in use for centuries. So, getting a set for myself just made good sense. I did have to figure out what information I wanted to put on them and was careful to ensure I adhered to what's in common practice so a stranger can decipher the information easily enough. Here's what I came up with, and I tried to keep to 12 or 13 characters per line max to fit well on the tag (limit is 15 per line): LINE 1 : LAST LINE 2 : FIRST MI LINE 3 : GOVT-SERIAL# LINE 4 : BLOOD-TYPE BRANCH LINE 5 : RELIG PREFERENCE Lines 1 & 2 are self-explanatory. Line 3 was a problem as I was never in the military yet needed a government issued number that was not easily used for identity theft like my Social Security or Passport number. I originally was going to use my driver license number, but in the end as a CCW permit holder I used my CCW permit number for identification (using the format 'CCW-AZ0000000'). Line 4 was my blood type (used the format 'B-NEG'), and BRANCH refers to branch of service you are in. I chose to use 'MILITIA' as by default I'd be a part of the militia here in the US if I was not otherwise in the military. But if you are a police officer or in another emergency service, that might work for this line of the tag for instance. Or just leave BRANCH blank as it was not used that consistent, traditionally. And line 5 is almost always used for religious preference, and there are a lot of designations that can be used that you can look up online. You might want to re-purpose this line for other information, just should ensure that this information is unambiguous and wouldn't be hard to figure out as this line is most often used for religious preference, traditionally.

“ I feel the need for speed.”
Great dog tags. Thank you, the tags are perfect. My husband will get a kick out of them. They’ll go great with his TOP GUN “Maverick” flight suit, which will be his Halloween costume this coming October.

Realistic looking, IF you don't look too closely. Not as heavy, sturdy, robust as military-issue.
I got these to help organize keys to some of our vehicles, one pair per vehicle. I had each set of two embossed with one vehicle's nickname / year / make / model & our name, and hung one on the rearview mirror, and the other on the keyring, with the vehicle key. It makes identification idiot-proof, when we drop a vehicle off at the shop, for instance, or for someone to find the right key, if needed, while we're away. It also adds a nifty mil spec look to the whole operation (which, as a vet, I enjoy, though I'm sure many civilians would, too.) All in all, I'm quite pleased with the tags & the system. That said, if I were looking for a duplicate set of dog tags, for my old military ones, these look very similar, but are a bit thin, light, and flimsy, and much more easily bent. The originals were much more robust than these - though these were great for what I wanted. If you are trying to stay on the cheap, and want military style dog tags for cosplay, or a halloween costume, etc, these should do nicely. If you want duplicates of your military dog tags, look elsewhere.
