Its a Traxxas love this thing!!!
It has settings for beginners too but kinda pricey and very powerful if you have had a drone before I recommend it its awesome way better than I expected but if your new to fpv which it does not have a camera I don’t recommend get something cheaper first I recommend it for outdoors but i do fly it inside very very powerful and fast u need beginner mode at first because it is so much more powerful than a tiny woop or most other beginner drones but its fully programmable through tranmiter settings and you can buy a camera for it understand if you can find it and is only line of sight no fpv goggles not a deal breaker for me it makes up for it by its quick response and agility it is soo much fun to fly and very long flight times like 9 minutes so yo have time to learn it

The last of it's kind?
This is a 2nd quadcopter for me. I've also had 4ch Helos and various small planes. As a line of sight quadcopter it is extremely good. The flight time is impressive. It is quiet and fairly responsive. If you're looking for something to fly hands off, this is not for you. Aside from the gyro stabilization this is all you...and it's exactly what I was looking for. It has 3 modes that work very well. #1 is docile enough for indoor use. #2 works well outdoors. #3 for those skilled and brave enough to do aerobatics. The usual flip feature...although it can be programmed for multiple flips. Rates can be customized for all modes. I'm in love with it. It's exactly what I was looking for. It is quiet, has decent power, is responsive, stable, and flies perfectly well right out of the box. It's also good to know that parts and support are still readily available unlike the cheap drones that go obsolete every few years. It appears that this is the last true quadcopter left on the market...and it's a good one...probably the best of them.

Let down by durability
I've only had 3 flights with the Alias. During my third flight I crashed it and it broke to the point of ordering new parts to repair it before it can fly again. I'm a little bummed at how fragile it was. A lot of the videos I watched and reviews I read said it was really durable.I'm not holding the product or the company responsible for the crash. That was 100% my fault. However, what caused the crash is a sensitive toggle on the controller. The right toggle can be pressed to cycle through modes. Normal, Fast and Expert. I was flying in Fast mode when all of a sudden what seemed like it lost control was actually me accidentally pressing it into expert mode unknowingly till I looked at the controller after the crash. It would be nice if the mode switch was a completely different button. I have to read the manual to see if you can program the controller to change the button to avoid this issue.Parts that had to be replaced:Prop - spare came with packageCanopy - $4.89Spur gear - $1.50 (2pk)Update: Main shaft - $3.00 (2pk)Which is cheap. Also, basically every part on the quad is easily replaceable and easy to find. Main reason I bought this one. Just have to wait for parts in the mail now.I would suggest learning to fly on a different product to avoid possible damage. I started on a much cheaper quad to get a hang of flying before I spent a little more money on the hobby. So keep in mind if you're buying for kids.I'll update my review once it's back in the air after the parts come in.Update: I got the spare parts in and while replacing the bad spur I noticed a wobble in the rotation even with the brand new spur installed. Further inspection lead me to find that the main shaft was actually bent from the impact. Quite irritating that I have to wait for more replacement parts now, but it is my fault for not noticing the bent shaft upon first inspection. I failed to mention the crash that caused this damage was only from about 12 feet off the ground at a reasonable speed. More let down by it's durability than I originally was. Knocking another star off till I can actually spend some time with this thing functioning properly.

********** Fragile Product, Not worth the premium*****
Bought LATrax drone, paid 99 on Amazon, after reading reviews and watching youtube video. I expected a sturdy product as advertised by Traxxas. Used the drone for 30 minutes (less than an hour) to find the one of the blade stopped spinning. I am now see that SPUR gear (a $1.50 part) is broken. Broken after 30 minutes use????? and I paid a premium price and expected this product to last a lot more than 30 minutes. Extremely disappointed. I rather buy two cheap drones for this money and take my chances. SAVE YOUR MONEY or LOWER expectation. This is not my first TRAXXAS purchase. I owne two TRAXXAS Slash trucks already. Expected similar durability and performance from this drone too but it did not last. Very disappointed.

Great drone for the price, very fast
This was my first drone and I learned on it as well as my wife… Once you get the hang of beginner mode you can turn up the speed to intermediate or expert… 13 to 15 minute flight times on after market battery, great drone !!! We love it so much, we are buying a second one for my wife.
