Q: What size would be good for a 12 week old (ultimately medium sized) golden doodle puppy? Also, would this be too challenging for a pup that young?

I'm not sure. It depends on if your dog is a big size puppy or smaller. I bought this in medium for my full grown beagle and it fit perfectly. There is a size chart and you can measure your dog and then pick the size that fits best. That's what I did. Hope this helps
