Very good quality 40-B ethanol which I have bought many times for perfumery. 40-B is the gold standard denatured alcohol for fine fragrance as the denaturants are odorless. I add 0.05% BHT to each gallon when it arrives to pre-treat so it keeps anything I add it to fresh and prevents oxidation to sensitive essential oils I dilute with this. Most perfumes use 190 proof, so you can extend this with 5% distilled water if you want which can slow evaporation slightly, and can help some materials dissolve which have fractions that need a little water, but that's more advanced stuff. Once you make a dilution, either of single raw materials, or your finished perfumes, give it some time to macerate and mature. Within a day, the harshness of the alcohol will fade away and let the fragrance shine! :) Fantastic value for the money, always arrives quickly and without leaks. As everyone has noted, this will require filtering before use. I just have a funnel I use to pour into a 1 liter bottle for ease of handling, and I run it through a coffee filter to keep the plastic flakes out. I think the flakes are coming off the seal used under the cap? It's no problem, and if you're buying this much ethanol for perfuming or cleaning, you really should be filtering it at least once, anyways. I also keep some of this in a small spray bottle to use to clean my bottles and mirrors, along with work surfaces. Really versatile!

I recently purchased this Ethel alcohol and I'm very impressed with it. I normally go with a different seller. But I use this for my cosmetics as it evaporates really quickly. It's also excellent for cleaning your area to a perfection. This is what you would scrub down a lab with to ensure that it is fully sanitized. It's a really big bottle, and it's gonna last me a super long time. Exactly as advertised and it's excellent value for the price. Low alcohol odor, good composition, very versatile, really safe.

Exactly what I was looking for. An ingredient to assist with cleaner without gagging like with isopropyl alcohol and other chemical cleaners. I use it mostly, mix with hand sanitizer, for wiping off Culligan 3 gallon water bottles. Use this mix for wiping off other items, usually following shopping, things that will go in my clean spaces and into my mouth.

There was white sediment in thee alcohol bottles at thee bottom of jug. I don't know if it was plastic or paper or if it was due to it being thee last of batch from ORIGIN when being made. I didn't return because I needed it asap

Works great for crafting purfume

There's a LOT of complaints in the reviews about plastic chips, but if you have ever worked in a lab or am industrial setting, you should be no stranger to having to filter products from certain suppliers. If you're a consumer at a consumer level, stick to consumer products, please. It indeed came in with some plastic chips, but I ran it through a filter and placed some molecular sieves in to remove any water and concluded a clean and dry product with a bit of debris. Obviously suboptimal, but for the cost, you have to cut processing somewhere. For them it was skipping a filter on the bottling process. Fair enough. It's 100% usable and the plastic can't dissolve in ethanol so it isn't a contaminated product.
