Performance Tool W54077 Mazda Cap Oil Filter Wrench (Mazda 3, Mazda 5, and Mazda 6 / Ford Fusion / Mercury Milan)

Purchased this to change the oil for my in law's vehicle, 2019 Highlander, while they were in town. Went to my local store and they did not have this in stock, so looked it up on Amazon and got it for the same price delivered to my door. Wrench performed like it should, did not experience any issues. If you have a Toyota vehicle, you will need this filter wrench.

I used this to remove the oil filter on my 2018 Toyota RAV4. I feel like it could have been a little tighter on the filter housing but my housing was also put on too tight so it cracked when I removed it. But without this tool I wouldn't have been able to remove the housing at all so it worked great.

This filter wrench works fine. It would help if the package had some clear instructions on it. There are notches in the rim where the wrench fits in to the filter, so it only goes on certain ways. That was what I had to figure out for myself.It's convenient that I can use either a 21mm socket on the outside of the fitting or a 1/2" square drive on the inside to unscrew the filter capsule. The tool itself doesn't feel like it is that strong, and when I had to really lean into the socket wrench to get it to move, I was afraid that I was going to bend it. Alas, it didn't bend, and it worked as it should.

Works on my 2010 Toyota Sienna.

The cup tool is to big for my 2006 Mazda 3, thought this might work since it says in the description "works for Mazda 3" so I'm guessing they're talking about newer models with either different or updated engines. Would have been nice if they specified.

Worked fine on me 2015 RAV4. The grooves were long enough to engage the tabs on the filter housing. My only problem is that my filter was screwed on so tight from my last dealer change, I chipped one of the tabs trying to get it off. I guess that speaks well to the durability of this filter wrench, also not sure it if could have been avoided if the edges weren't so rough.Regardless, if your filter wasn't put on with an impact wrench, this should work fine. Definitely durable. FYI, I found out afterwards that this exact item is available at my local AutoZone for ten bucks. Worth looking there first.

This tool was partially responsible for costing me hundreds of dollars for a simple oil change.It's a known fact that a lot of oil change techs over tighten the oil filter cap. It's just the reality of it and we all have to deal with it. However, due to this tool's bad design and loose tolorances, upon using it the first time, it broke off pieces of the plastic tabs from the oil filter cap and cracked the plastic at the same time. So not only that it wasn't able to remove the filter cap, it broke the cap so I can't even fill oil back to warm the car up to try to unseat the cap. The only solution now is to attemp to remove it with a different tool and hope that the crack didn't weaken and prevent it's removal. It is a badly designed cheap tool that will cost you much more to fix the problem it creates. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!Learn from my mistake and buy the updated Motivx tool, it is more expensive but it fits snug without the useless upper tabs cutouts. It will save you the headache and cost I had to go through.

This product is good but it didn't work for me. Whoever owned my car before me used a wrench to tighten the oil filter cap. The poor tool couldn't manage to loosen it. We had to use a pipe wrench to get off the cap. For properly torqued caps, this should work perfectly.

Realmente es de muy buena calidad la publicación decía que no le queda a la toyota rav 4 2009 pero trae una imagen donde da unas medias lo comprobé con la tapa del filtro de la rav 4 y decidí comprar lo y encaja perfecto
