Great Cameras!
We have had these for a couple years and they work great. We added the solar panels so that we do not have to take them down to charge them. Overall we like these and have 5 that we are using at our home. They work well, give us peace of mind, the setup was easy and they are adjustable. We are glad that we have them.

Highly recommended.
A bit frustrating to get these cameras hooked up to the Wi-Fi and added to the Google home app, but once all that is accomplished, they work great. I have only noticed a few recordings triggered in error in my living room, which appears to be triggered by shadows on a wall rather than movement. I have half of these cameras hooked up outside, and I do not appear to be affected by the weather at all. I would just recommend you brush spiders off them frequently, as bugs resting on the camera lens can be a nuisance. I highly recommend this purchase!

Easy to install and has great field of view, image quality and personalizations
I have actually purchased 5 of these to replace an Arlo hub and cameras which were increasingly buggy and kept dropping WiFi. I have had two indoor wired Nest cameras for a few years now and have been using the 5 new battery powered indoor/outdoor cameras for several weeks. All of these cameras are managed and installed through the Google Home app. Con: you are having to trust Google. Pros: it's made by Google, so every aspect of this works perfectly. Installation is as easy as scanning a QR code with your phone camera and pressing "Add Camera". Disable your VPN for this if you are using one. Mounting is very simple and secure. You will need a 3/32" drill bit and a Phillips head screwdriver bit as well as a cordless drill. These feel rock solid and there is no wobble. Also, it has been very windy and rainy for several days and the cameras are fine. Temperatures have been as low as 34F, again no problems. Have not had >100F weather since it's late Fall. The field of view and image quality is superb. No spherical or chromatic aberration to speak of. In overcast daylight, it was possible to read a license plate from about 15-30 feet away as a freeze frame from the video. The cameras can be individually personalized to notify you (or not) of non-specific motion, or any combination of people, animals or vehicles. The system can also be set to only operate if you leave home through inherent geo-fencing. Comparing this to Arlo, the system is completely stable (which Arlo is not: it's link to a WiFi router only 5 feet away can be tenuous) and the image quality of the cameras is superior in every way. Of note, the Arlo cameras are half the size and can be camouflaged with 3rd party rubber covers in a variety of colors. The Nest cameras are big and white and more conspicuous.

Easily THE WORST PRODUCT OF ANY KIND I HAVE EVER PURCHASED: EMBARRASSINGLY BAD ENGINEERING
I do not write many reviews. When I do, they are exceptional products, almost always very positive. This one is exceptionally and beyond bad. This is my third failed nest camera. This one lasted only a few months before failing. (outdoor, cool, dry location.) My first nest camera was designed to mount like a real camera. Unfortunately, it failed after a few months. This new camera is bad engineering in every regard. It has a silly magnetic mount. The cable does not go through the mount so it just dangles under the camera where the slight breath of wind will unplug it. The connector is not captive, so any slight touch of the cable will cause the cable to fall out. (I put electrical tape over the connector to keep it plugged in.) Anybody can walk by and easily grab the camera. The browser based Interface is now gone. You can only use their app that works poorly. It will only stay on the video screen for a few minutes before it shuts off. So no way to watch for an event. You have to go in, and restart it. Unfortunately, nest hates, Google and Google hates nest. The camera does not work with the Google app. nest will not allow my corporate Google Gmail account, so I had to set up an entirely new Gmail account just for nest products.. This camera came only with a battery that I did not want or need. It is what seems to be going dead despite being plugged in for months. (Throws a "dead battery" continuously even after being plugged in for one month.) I filed a warranty claim with Google and they gave me a runaround for two months. I was just on the phone for an hour with somebody from India who was a nice person, however, knew nothing about how a camera works certainly nothing about the nest camera. They read a script. For one hour, I did exactly what I've done five times before. It works or a day or a week and then fails again. I said, "You're giving me a runaround" And this person said " Yes I am" They then said you have to contact us in the future when it goes out again, but do it before your warranty expires in two months. They refused to send me a replacement camera until it failed for a fourth or fifth time. Finally, this person said that the voltage might be wrong. I said that I am using the USB power adapter and cable that was sold to me by Google.. I asked whether they were asking the voltage into the wall wart or out of it? The person again said the voltage. I asked if it was the power into the wall wart. They said yes. I got out my Fluke meter, one of the finest meters in the world. I checked the AC voltage. It was 118.4 VAC, 60 Hz.. This person said that the specification says it must be more than 124 Volts. I find this unbelievable. What is Google thinking? What is nest thinking? How could they possibly sell a product like this? I am just lucky I didn't fall on my backside when I was climbing up to pull the camera down again and up again and down again and up again, according to the repeated instructions. Again, I had done this a half a dozen times before spending more than one hour on this Support call.. This is an awful, dreadful product. I would certainly never recommend that anybody buy this product. NEGATIVE 10 stars!!! UPDATE ONE DAY LATER: After having spent more than one hour on the phone with Google support yesterday, I was told that I would have to wait a week or two. Only if it failed again, would they then allow me to spend another hour on the phone talking with them again, unless my warranty expired before then. It did work for about 12 hours, but FAILED this morning. Same problem. Last night, the battery was 100% with the camera plugged in, this morning, it said 0% full. But with a dead battery, the entire camera is dead. So I have no video at all. The camera is dead. One would think that with a dead battery and the unit plugged in constantly, the camera would still work. But what do I know? Google engineers clearly know more than I do. Why can Google not admit that this is a totally junk product? How can they run their customers around, knowing that this is a junk product? Two failed Google cameras, both of which I paid full price for. And both of which are junk. Yesterday, I was told that my warranty would expire in a month or two. That would be after it failed again. Well, I didn't have to wait that long because it failed in TWELVE (12) hours. NEGATIVE 50 stars!

Not the best but gets the job done
I have had this camera for quite a while. Don't love that it takes a while to load when on wifi. Probably better if hard wired but I cannot do that. I have to charge every 1.5 weeks.

Fantastic!
You may be scared at first seeing it only attaches by magnet, but WOW that puppy is strong. I have been using this camera consistently for several weeks now, and it has been great! I live on a fairly busy road, so when set to people/movement the camera died quite often and I felt like I was charging it a lot. However, once I set a zone to the only spot I really cared about, this camera lasts for a couple, if not several weeks at a time! Weather has not seemed to effect it at this point, with the camera being mostly covered by the porch roof, but still exposed to rain and wind often. Though not used as often, the audio function works very well. The audio recording is quite strong, and the speak function has been consistently useful. If you're looking to keep your home safe, or just have an extra eye out and say hello, this is the camera for you!

Nice cam
Lighting is great night and daytime. Not bulky, and can see all the way across my yard. I like to use the voice feature and confuse my dog. Haha

Reconnection impossible
I’ve had them for about 1-1/2 years. Recently one of the cameras went offline and I couldn’t get it to reconnect so I deleted it from the Home app which was a mistake. Little did I know that adding it back again would be an impossible task. I’ve tried with my iPhone, ipad and an android phone. In all cases during the connection process, a message appears that states “something went wrong”. No other info. I’ve tried it repeatedly and it always fails. I’ve researched information and tried the suggestions and still I get the same result. I tried contacting Google support and got a notice that chat is unavailable. I’ve finally given up and ordered a new camera from a different company. I now have a useless, expensive camera with an expired warranty. The way I see it, Google owes me some compensation which of course will never happen. For a product at this expense, the connection process should be flawless or at the very least offer a clearly stated reason for failure and steps to correct. Major disappointment. Update: I found something on Google’s support page about resetting the camera. I reset it to factory settings and it was able to reconnect as it treated it as a new device. I bumped up to three stars. To the person complaining about frequently recharging, I had the same problem. I bought a solar panel to solve it.

Excelente
