center to center distance between the mounting screws?

Dear Friend, Thanks for your inquiry. The distance between two screws is 9mm(Min) and 32.2mm(Max). Sincerely, SmallRig Customer Service

Can you mount to both sides of the nato rail? Wanting to mount it upside down on a camera to avoid the rod clamp from sticking out.

Not a nato rail attachment but a nato rail with a rod clamp. So, once on your camera, you've added a short nato rail that includes a rod clamp.

Can i mount this directly to the screw holes on the top side of the fx3 ?

Dear Friend,Thanks for inquiry.Yes, but it can only be mounted on the two threaded holes on the left side above the camera.Sincerely,SmallRig Customer Service

Will this fit the komodo as a top plate?

Dear Friend, Thanks for contacting us. This rod clamp is supposed to mounted onto the cage via 1/4"-20 threads, it cannot be mounted directly on the camera. Sincerely, SmallRig Customer Service
